Holy cow. So I just approved about 50 comments from the last 8 months because I never get on YouTube anymore.

First of all, if you "dancers" knew anything about dance camps, you dance where they tell you to dance. Carpet, concrete, or parking lot gravel. We made do. Evidently there are some really high maintenance dancers out there.

Also, if you didn't know, dance camps are not a COMPETITION. They are about learning. And you learn at least 5 dances in 2 days. Therefore, they are not perfect and really have not even been cleaned. Grant it, if we had all been phenomenal, flawless dancers, we wouldn't have needed cleaning. But I was 17 at the time and we were learning how to dance together.

Additionally, because it was not a COMPETITION, we were not wearing COSTUMES. Any moron who has danced knows that we are wearing are exercise clothes, not costumes. Clearly, because I haven't gotten on here in months, I don't really care what people think about this video, but some of the comments were so ridiculous I didn't even approve them. Yeah, this dance isn't the most amazing thing ever. Get a life and quit spending your time typing senseless, harsh critiques on people's videos.

I've always thought that would be a really good song for a lyrical and I did like that choreography but like the others said, the timing was off it bit but you were all very good. Don't you just love dancing on carpet? I think it's easier :)

That dance SUCKED!!!! No offense! The choreo was so so. But everyone was totally off!!! But i think that with a little more practice and some late nights at the studio, it could really be a good dance. Keep at it!!!! You have GREAT potential!!!

Good Choreography.. but some parts didn't really go with the music.

I do not lyrical dance, I do a much much different style of dance. So I am wondering is there an emphasis on uniformity in the dancing? Things like coming out of turns at the same time, and timing of arm movements, or is there more wiggle room in lyrical?

no theres not. it is just as specific and timed as all other dances would be. i think they just arent sure on the coreography yet.

It's not like you'll start off with really hard stuff. They'll start you off on the basics and eventually, you'd be able to do the hard dance you saw.

omg YES! i only took it for about 8 months, but my teacher was AMAZING! she wipped me into shape, and even though at first, the movements felt ridiculous, you get past that really fast and then it's all expression. it's beautiful. you should definitely sign up!!!!!
