I was driving the M5. This isn't balls out driving obviously. We were on a high traffic road and were driving conservatively. I could've blown past the E36, but since I was the camera car I was focused on just trying to get some video footage of my friend's M3. The cool thing about this road that is hard to see from the video is the road is very steep and almost like a 30 degree incline. The two cars in front of us were a highly modded Audi S4 and GTI who were honestly driving pretty stupidly.

the m5 is a big block on v but he needs a straight line to pass forward...the weight and handling by the m3 are ieal for a road like this one

the reason the e36m3 was quicker is because it's light than the m5 and it has better handling on the curves. e36 are the best cars bmw ever made

Hmm it's not altered i think, but no way these two are driving al out. I own a e36 m3 euro and it's way faster then that car. And the way the "m5" overpowers the m3 at the end says it all, this was just touring in my opinion

great road to race up hill. BUT like dude said it looks sped up and 2 bmw ///M's that cant catch the car in front of them??? fake. in san jose i ran a 08 m3 with my 02 through the twistys thats san felipe road. since its all S turns with no sharp corners following the insides and outsides i had a good distance on him. and when i slowed down,at first i thought it was a new 3 series maybe 335 but when i stopped to make fun of himwas a new m3. and told him straight away yes. twistys drive some more

The car in from of them could easily be another BMW, or it could be a damn Lambo, these guys may not know how to drive. The point is you can hear the damn engine RPMs and and the wind on the microphone and tell that this is not fake or sped up at all. Especially at the end when the M5 goes to pass the M3 just listen to it and you can tell it is not altered. I hate people who are quick to say fake when they have no clue what they are talking about.

Do you know where this was filmed? My guess is a very popular race site with badass roads that attract badass cars. Just look at some of the cars passing them the other direction I saw a Porsche fly past them I know. Is it hard to believe that there are other cars on the road that can beat an ///M? Seems harder to believe that these two are the only cars racing up this hill. And video editing and changing the speed doesn't change the angles they were taking on the corners.

I didnt say anything about the angles.. I simply said its easy to change and mess with the audio with a video.. It still looks fast fowarded to me. They still look like there are going at a fair pace,but not that fast.

e39 m5 had 8 cylinder engine not v1o, e39 creates 400 bhp, later v10 cars had 500 + bhp. I drive m3 evo daily 321 bhp on cornish back roads, cant knock the handling!

no, it's a V8 thats in the E39, and round a track, the M3's superior handling would be more prominent, the M5 will take it on the 1/4 mile no bother!
