To this day, I still believe this game is one of the biggest reasons why the DC is one of the most underrated systems of all time. Several characters to play right off the bat and plenty to unlock. Plenty of content within the game without the use of overrated garbage like DLC. MvC2 didn't need an Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 2, because it was already ultimate.

Just a QQ about MVC3..

Capcom could've released a power-house-of-a-game out of the box that enabled you to unlock all of the old characters and, obviously, some new characters. Instead, they, much like all of the game industry these days, turned the game into a "potential" cash cow by forcing players to pay for characters that may have been staples for them in MVC2. It's really quite sad as this was a game that I had dreamed about since the Dreamcast release of MVC2.
