  • only Yanni and Charlie playing .. the Bass and the violin just added extra flavor

  • Umm, Thanks for stealing Yanni's thunder, Drummer. D:

  • After hearing the studio verisons of this song, I'd forgotten how fucking AWESOME the drum solo was. I understand how some people could want to pass on it, but I think it's made of awesome. Wow, I haven't seen this since I was 14. That's when a young black girl fell in love with Yanni and PBS. So Much <3<3<3

  • One Of the BEST Drummer's of ALL Time! Lot of drummers look up to Charlie back then, even til today! Just looking at his drum set and its size should tell you a little something about him & his talent...

  • @ProDJAllen vadrums

  • It's really nice to hear a song in 7/8 !

  • always love a great drummer. charlie is one of the best in the business.

  • this is awesome

  • 2:46 why did he switch the drumstick position?

  • Two reasons why you should heard this: Piano intro & Drums solo.

  • ppl are right when they say that this solo doesnt fit in the music.

nevertheless, it doesnt make the solo less better does it?

so shut up and enjoy it....

  • Yanni el mejor, la pieza buenisima pero por mas que lo veo ese solo tan largo le resta. Me parece que la gente no fue a ver un solo de bateria,Pudo ser menos largo.

  • YANNI & His Team Great

  • I love this song. I have been listening to this since I was 3. I also add to the small portion of teenagers who listen and love this music. And to all the others who don't SCREW YOU. genoveva13, I agree with you completely, parsabloodz and 9978412, they don't know a thing about good music. I like to see you two play this song note by note, beat by beat. If you can't then STFU.

  • @werecatFireFang YEAHHHH for us teens that love this music :D

  • I invite you all for a great experience, with the best video (HD) and sound (dts) of YANNI, that you can find on YOUTUBE .

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOW VERY NICE

  • quebueno questa benite20

  • For the drummer to make fellow instrumentalist look in awe is enough for critics to know the value and essence of drums and the act of drumming.

  • Drums is to music what air is to life!

  • One of most incredible concerts ever!!!!. Fucking Awesome... A super Star team playing for Yanni :D

  • People who say drums are bad in this song, doesn't know the real meaning of this song; or they don't know how to aprecciate a Orchestra.

  • I accidentally pressed the thumbs down button, because I thought it's just a thumbs up in its upside down form. XD

  • Why cannot i watch the "within attraction " at the acropolis from the youtube? I think that it is the MOST exciting , the MOST excellent instrumental all of the times EVER,

the MOST wonderfull , amazing and all the synonims music composition ihave ever heard.

  • alguiien sabe el nombre del baterista o algo

  • @vvilliam282 Tel nombre de baterista es Charlie Adams

  • @vvilliam282 su nombre es Charlie Adams es un gran baterista

  • yanni looks like a porn star

  • I like when Yanni Rocks.

Whatever!; i am learning to play this song now, and its really, such a complex masterpiece, I am about to complete it!; just some practice with the Left Hand to resist it (Its too hard!; My hand is aching a lot D:) And i complete it!; Its awesome!; im so happy that i am part at the little quantity of teenagers that listen to this :).

  • @Xendarbletz Ya I hear you. I'm trying to learn this piece by ear, and I'll tell you what,. That run with the left hand is TOUGH to pull off. I'm getting close though to the point where I'm not getting achy hands.. The first time I heard this, I immediately fell in love with it. It's brilliant! I even made a fireworks show in RCT3 off of this tune. By the way, INSANE drummer! O_O

  • I like the way yanni makes transition into drum solo and into the music again.

  • Good Solo From the drummer. If you think about it, there must be so much pressure with all those people focused ALL on YOU... including yanni, the pressure to do good must be incredible. One time I was druming in front of like 20 people, and I was just playing with the rest of the band,no solo, a few people were looking at me, including a few girls, and I felt like the world was watching me!

  • the drum solo makes me crazy!!! yanni rocks \m/

  • i am 12 and im learning to play that song

    yanni looks really creepy

  • 23 bibier fans dont like Yanni

  • @galvai Don't mention that FAGOT here!

  • @palacinkaHN You're Right....

  • @palacinkaHN Couldn't have said it better myself :)

  • @palacinkaHN You're right...sometimes I like to coming here .. just to clear my head of these crapy songs i love yanni

  • @galvai Yeah, me too

  • when athletes thank god when they do well, they thank this drummer, the god of all man.

  • 23 kids who don't know anything about music (:

  • That was sublime.

  • Nice incorporation of the drum solo. :)

  • as a drummer i LOVED that drum solo

  • I've been a HUGE Yanni fan for 13 years now, and this is one of my favorite songs. I'm a self-taught pianist all inspired by Yanni, and I can play this song flawlessly on the piano. I definitely think the drums are needed in the song. It adds such great character to the song, and ALL big bands out there have at least one song where the drummer has the spotlight. In Yanni's case, this is that song. To this day, Yanni still plays this song in concerty, and Charlie Adams still gets his drum solo

  • The fact that Yanni composes such music, albeit the quality his lesser works, is enough to demonstrate his greatness at a level of Beethoven,Mozart or Bach. I am a musician myself and a piece like this is truly a timeless masterpiece that happens once a hundred years

  • As drum solos go this ws pretty ordinary. He seems to shange from one form to another as if he had no idea how to keep the solo interesting. This song didn't need a bad drum solo, or a drum solo at all.

  • 23 weyes ke no saben lo que realmente es MUSICA

  • وحشتني؛ازيك؟ انت فين؛ مالك؛عايز اطمن عليك؛صباح الخير؛ انا ما نمت؛مشغول بالي عليك

  • He is just brilliant!!

    a music god!

  • I agree with @Genoeva13

Theres No marching with no drums.

Expand your Limits!; Yanni has a blessed mind and hand, if he thinks its good with drums, we think its Excellent with Drums!.

Can't wait for Truth or Touch, lets see how can Yanni suprise us once more.

  • screw the drums

  • wtf is with the drums???!!!!

  • @parsabloodZ

For people who don't agree or don't find apropriate the part of the drums in this song, all I can say is that they are narrow minded. Expand your visions!

I think is a great addition to the song and concert itself..Listen to the audition reaction! This drummer is so amasing and Yanni had the great ideea to give some well deserved time to that great amasing drummer, blending his solo in that song, which couldn't be better named: "Marching..'

    Marching with no drums?no way!G.job Y!

  • @genoveva13 what do u mean "expand ur visions????!!!"

the drums have NO meanings in this beautiful song!!!

  • @parsabloodZ You Fool, theres no Marching without drums

Or just call "season" this song ;).

  • @Xendarbletz true but im not fool for giving an opinion =)

  • @parsabloodZ Well in fact, yea.

but thats was just my reaction to "screw the drums" :P

  • @parsabloodZ IS MORE THAN CLEAR THAT U DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MUSIC

  • @themasterdc oh yeah! a classic piano song is playing then randomly there is a rock drum solo in middle of the fucking thing.....yeah yeah ur right...

  • @parsabloodZ then ask urself u idiot, why a master of music such as Yanni will allow a "rock drum solo" in the middle of this masterpiece??? yeah that's the problem u can't think! EXPAND UR VISION ABOUT MUSIC!

  • @themasterdc 1st of all, i like yanni and i respect him but he isnt the master of music, 2nd DO U EVEN PLAY ANY INSTRUMENTS TO GIVE OPINIONS!!!??? I SHOULD KNOW CUZ IVE BEEN PLAYING THE PIANO SINCE PROBABLY U WERE BORNED!!!

  • @genoveva13 I don't really mind the drumming at all. It gives it a little more substance. I guess for some people when it reaches the part where he does his solo it's almost as if he is doing his own thing.

  • @genoveva13 As difficutl as it is for me to like this drums part, this is typical Yanni... to break with the typical.

  • so many people cant aprecciate the drums, it gives the music some intense feeling, i dont know, but for me the drums has to be in this song

  • @vallejozz having performed this song live, yeah, I agree, the drums are essential.

  • The drums are there for the show hah. This is a live performance after all, so its really more about the show and not so much the sound. In my opinion though I'd have to agree the song sounds so much better with the drums.

  • Charlie Adams goes beyond anything I've every seen in any other drummer. he should compete wth John Bonham and Gene Krupa. There aint no thinking about that whatsoever. its all feeling.

  • this day i am listening only to yanni , i hope in one he come to Egypt to perform

  • Energica e fantastica musica che stimola divulgazioni di fervida risolutezza d’animo. Grande Yanni !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Charlie adams is a beast on the drums. man i love the way he play it

  • 4:55 - 5:20 ... he´s a train!!! :D

  • I really really don't see how what the drummer did makes any sense! I mean there was no rhythm in there just hitting drums for 4 minutes!!!! ok he's showing his skills but couldn't he come up with a better rhythm?

  • @Sniperification100 there was constant rhythm throughout that solo....apparently you have no rhythm yourself because it was clearly there....

  • Gah, sync issues with video and audio! But love the song nonetheless

  • Non ho parole!!!!!!! Fantastico!!!!!

  • JÓ JÓ JÓ.Valamit tud a dobos!!!!!!!!!

Mindenkinek így kellene értenie ahhoz amit csinál!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AWESOME song. Wouldn't be the same w/out the drums.

  • BRAVO!! RRAVO!! BRAVO!!!!

  • tha's the style of Yanni,,,.. I think it's also good when they do it without drum...I think it's also good idea doing witht drum...

  • idk whats better, that drum solo or Yanni's face while he is watching the drum solo

  • ladies and gentleman, 23 assholes watched this video.

    holy shit, yanni, you blow-me-a-waaaaaay!

  • love it

  • those horrid drums spoiled the music, some people just dont know when to stop :(((

  • drummer

  • wow, amazing drummer... amazing song... one of the most amazing concerts ever...

  • everyone knows that the other musician are thing 2 things, showoff and hurry the fuck up

  • @BTMandy1 Actually I think they are amazed at his skill, rhythm, agility, dexterity, speed, accuracy, and musicality and humor

  • @Gizmologist09 hi workerdave here, doesnt he look like nick n from beverly's cop--i do-as everyone says his solo doesnt fit with the song,it does or else yanni would not approve. yur rite, hes perfect n not a robot

i heard yanni 20 yrs ago--i liked -no loved it n will always love his music.

Buddy Rich was dubbed as the best drummer of all time--well Buddy has met his match

did you notice that everyone in the orchesthra was looking-n yes it was funy when he waved the sticks...

  • wat's the drummer's name?

  • @cuteprincess80 Charlie Adams is the drummer and he is definitely one of the best in the world. He trained with Buddy Rich and has been with Yanni since the early 80s. He took a short sabbatical but his replacement was horrible. TG Charlie has rejojned full time.

  • wat's the drummer's name?

  • Charlie Adams robot man

  • the bast of the bast 10000000000000%

  • den exw dei kalutero Drummer

  • amazing, one of the best drums solos ive ever seen

  • This is a beatiful piece of music. However, let me say for those who disagree with Charly's drums, that when performing live, the solo's drums is part of the melody; but in the CD there are no solo's drums. It's always been this way.

By the way, I saw this guy performing when Yanni was at Mexico City, and you have no idea how spectacular he is. A lot of drummers have something to learn from him.

    Keep enjoying it ;)

  • One of Yanni's most incredible songs hands down. I don't know anyone that can play this that knows how to play piano. Thats pretty crazy.

  • Me encanta como interprete la musica

  • Wow this guy is great!

    Great Turkish composer

  • @vnck25 That would be Greek composer

  • @superspons4 And I believeYanni had his own reason to do that ! :)

  • Dios!!! yo debí estar en ese concierto, aunque tal vez aún no nacía, jajaja bueno ya había nacido años atrás, pero neeee cómo iría hasta ese lugar? Pero fui cuando vino a mi ciudad =D

  • Yanni.... my favourite musician...

  • this song would be soo much more beautifull without drums.

the drummer is realy good but it just dont fit in a song like this and wth is that drum solo doing in the middle of the song!?

    but thats my opinion ;)

  • @superspons4 It's marching season , you know !

  • I agree man..Charlie Adams is one of Yanniz oldest drummer perhaps may be even Yanni was also surprised to see him beating the smoke out of those poor drums ;) . Anyways i agree the drum solo was indeed out of the place although standing alone the drumming was really worth applauding

  • @superspons4 Well if the crowd's response is anything to go by, I'd say your opinion is in the minority. ;)

  • i totaly agree with u, but still, that is the hell of a drum solo ;)

  • @superspons4 Well....it is the Marching season.

  • Comment removed

  • @superspons4

Well u should realize that Yanni is playing in front of a live audience. Artists generally like to experiment new things when playing in front of a large crowd. Jimmy adams performance was beyond words and the crowd loved it. BTW marching season come with out drums as well.

  • ive heard this song a thousand times with my dad since i was two years old..im nineteen now and have this CD...back when it was VHS, it no longer works lol. the drummer is amazing and does well with the song, if he wasnt there...it wouldnt be "Marching Season" there is no Marching without drums.

  • @TheKlokofDeth SAME HERE!! (I'm 20) and my VHS still works but it has tracking all the way xDDDDD

  • @superspons4 : It's a march...lol...what's a march with no drums? lol.

  • @jfolerka right!? it's not even classical music...just because it has an orchestra behind it doesn't make it classical. Marches have drums (even if the original didn't have them this still works if you ask me).

  • @superspons4 I agree that the song is better for regular listening without the drum solo, like if you have it on CD or something you wouldn't want that to interrupt your song maybe, but for a once in a lifetime live performance it's nice to see something special like that.

  • @superspons4 That's right, I agree with you. Such lyrical and flowing songs shouldn't contain any rock drum solos..)

  • @superspons4 Do respect your opinion here. But that's what Yanni's music is about: Diversities, surprise, and of course - beautiful music!

  • @superspons4 What Yanni wants, Yanni gets. And what Yanni wanted was a drum solo. *shrug* At least Yanni isn't a cage fighter that will hunt you down for having an opposing opinion. Who's beating on my door, brb...

  • @superspons4

The drums is just for this Live concert.. And it looks cool in this concert.. THe real Marching season song has no drums and it a priceless meoldy.. Look up for it..

  • @thehsbharadwaj Ok the drum solo is Massive! But i just dont like the drums in the classical music of yanni (sorry dont know how to explain it)

  • @superspons4 ya its way too long! like 4 minutes :p maybe if it was 30 seconds lol

  • @superspons4 i respect your opinion but if u see the whole dvd, every musician have "their songs" to shw theirs skills...i think marching season was just a "bidge" for this solo...like led's mody dick was just a bridge for god bonham do what he did best...but,as you, that's just my opinion...

  • @superspons4 the drums match perfectly

  • @superspons4 i actually like the drumming, but also thats just my opinion :P

  • @superspons4 The drum solo? yeah too long (btw nowadays its like 2 or 1 minute), but ALL the song without drums?!, the song would be too empty :I...

"but thats my opinion ;)" :D...

  • @superspons4 lol, they're rlly good friends, and also, its was a change just to try it out

  • @superspons4 its a live performance. All about the show, not so much the sound. The drums just added that bit of excitement for the crowd.

  • @superspons4 noooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaah!! I like it a lot!

  • @superspons4 WOW seriously this is all about the drums that why i love this song!!! march on drummer march on :D

  • @superspons4 there's a version with much less drums, it's at v=MGWEJs3hdB0 (change the link in your URL bar)
