I think the jeep totally deserved the title its the only suv that evenly combines both luxury & off roading at a reasonable price . If you think the landrover should have won ur silliy land rover has horrible gas mileage over priced an isn't up to date like its competition . But Tom I'd really like to see a comparison of the jeep & landrover nobody has one in English

@Dre1485 The manufacturers choose which vehicles they want in the competition. Not sure why they entered Compass instead of Durango. Maybe they were going for best value?

@fokGoogol This was a new venue and there wasn't time to set up a suitable hill. Next year. Keep in mind that many NWAPA members have experience with these vehicle's off-road capabilities. Also something I flesh out better at my website in the written review, this is not just a pure off-road competition (expect for the "best off-road" award).

I had high hopes for the Range Rover. Frankly I'm quite suprised they picked The Grand Cherokee, obviously it can handle off-roads well but I highly doubt as good as a Range Rover.

@mateo096 You do have a point. While they do have the reputation you'll never know about the new one ( and it is brand new for 2011 ) for a few years from now. They're getting better and better in this issue.
