Focusrite support tutorial: setting up Cakewalk's Sonar

So ive had this interface for less than a week and it is UTTER shite

I used a motu 896mk3 for about a year prior to buying this , and it was infinitely superior.

The focusrites liquid pres ARE better than the motu pres.

However everything else about the motu is superior ; the build , software , drivers, latency , mixer ,and the sound of your tracks.....

Going to the store tomorrow to return the focusrite for a refund

I set Saffire MixControl's output settings to DAW tracking but I have tried many outputs on sonar but I still get no sound, since it's in ASIO, am I supposed to have a headphone plugged into the interface? I have tried that too but still no sound
