The images are beautiful...yet they are "colored" by man...any images the hubble reproduces are in various degrees of black and white...so in reality we really don't know the true colors at all...it's a guesstimation!!

Nope. I'm an amateur astronomer and I can guarantee you that the colors are real. Yes, contrast and other stuff is manipulated, but the colors are real. To obtain coloured images you just need a dark sky, a good telescope and a Reflex camera with about 15secs of exposition(exposition time depends on the object. Btw, you won't see colours without making photos.

hubble takes several images UV OPTICAL and INFARED none are in colour images that were taken with different filters are combined in an image processing program, such as Adobe Photoshop. In this, the different filters can be assigned different colors, not necessarily in the same order as they appear in the EM spectrum and not necessarily the original color that it would appear with the human eye.

Well the Hubble has an eight feet diamter camera lens which allows it to let in a lot of light. The more light a camera can absorb, the more detailed the image will be. Furthermore, the Hubble is situated in outer space which eliminates a lot of the atmospheric turbulence that can obscure ground telescopes, making the image even more clear.

It is hard to imagine the universe is infinite. It is hard to imagine the distance between us and all the celestial bodies. The human mind is not sufficiently evolved to fully comprehend the concept of an infinite universe and the mysteries surrounding it.

after seeing images like these I definitely see a gravitation pattern of dust, light, gas and matter.. an extraordinary balance of them all combined.. these are simply the results of nebulas, random collisions of black holes and galaxies.. STILL something so natural and something so untouched as this can create the most beautiful things.
