If they don't put effort in learning english you're right, they may not be able to speak it properly or even understand it, but that just fits minority. The average german is to stupid to learn english? Well, i don't know any germans who can't speak english, except my Grandma, and shes over 90 years old, so i guess she never had to.

In school, germans learn english and french or spanish.

Without english, you can't graduate anything.

It's interesting how the voice actors in the English clip are in order of quality, falling. In this one, they are rising. All of the voice actors are pretty darn excellent though.

I'm dutch but you don't hear me whining that I want it in dutch, however 9/10x shit is translated into French and German which to me is a total waste of time as people could just learn the fucking language. I mean sure, its good to know and understand english, It helps you in many aspects, but its much more comfortable to play something in your mother tongue. An example, Fable 2, played it in English and German, both kina without a break, and I was less exhausted as I played the german version. + Not the voice over are bad, but the people who make it, get good people, get good voice over

@BartonDH I know what you mean. I'm French, and I find Canada French or Belgium French very weird :p Fortunately for us games are never translated with their accents and expressions, and fortunately for them they use to hear France French quite often so they are not constrained.

Anyway when I heard A.Net telling about the possibility of translating the game in Spanish, they also said that they see Latin America as an interesting market for them. Certainly a good point for you.

It's funny how those actors are different from the American actors but the voices in game are really close.

Just listen to the video of the races of Tyria in German, French and English. The voices are pretty similar. It feels the same very often !
