I've had relationships with someone that is one of my soul mates, and it was meant to teach me a spiritual lesson. I do agree that people that do have a huge misconception that a soul mate means a life partner.

If the soul has no gender then why are we getting married and like each other? Creation is designed that way and so we identify with the current body.
