@TheW1ckerman89 Witch House actually describes Pictureplane better than any of those acts. Pictureplane actually sounds it's derived from 90s House music to an extent, Witch House tends to sound nothing like House , mixed with the "Mystical" sounding synths and vague goth influence. Of course it's a joke term - but it's a cool name at least. "Witch House" Takes more from Shoegaze, Hip Hop & Goth, but has a similar overall aesthetic. Witch House tends to be less glitchy too.

How can something be more something than that which it defines?

Witchhouse is 100% defined by any song Pictureplane does, why becuase he defined his sound as Witchhouse. Thus making withchouse, other whitchouse may be similar, but if changes occur then its no longer that purely that genre.
