no it's not possible to turn it off that im aware of and it's really not annoying at all. It's not like it beeps the entire time, the only time it does it is when you turn it on or off and open or close the disk tray. You don't really do that very often so it's not annoying at all.
Sadly no, it does not come with HDMI. It just comes with standard AV cables so if you want high def your going to have to buy another set of av cables or buy an hdmi cable.
