I remember the time when you could use a McDonalds drinking straw to boost up your credit. That was when telstra was called telecom. Now the only good tricks are the 12722199 (from older payphones), and using the Sultan Test facilily (FAST) - which i use an employers pin!
Its the ringing back service used to test the ringer signal. You can dial that number from any telstra landline, wait for the service to answer, then hang up. Wait for 30 seconds and your phone will start ringing continuously.
You can dial 1800 050 051 and use an employee PIN to access a whole myriad of services.
@Garethtkd I remember doing this at a caravan park on the NSW central coast during xmas 2000/new years 2001, you would put the coin in, flatten the straw and push it through the top gap of the refund door and the case of the phone and move it around until the coin dropped down and then you would repeat as many times as you want.
