Thank you for being female vocalist that doesn't "sound" like you're trying too hard. You have a beautiful voice. And I've noticed a trend lately where chick singers like to add a lot of extra enphasis and dramatics to their voice. I like the echo. I think it's just right. Too little and it doesn't smooth out your voice, too much and you end up concentrating on the echo. I think it's nice and adds a lot of ambience to the tune.

I went to a radiohead tribute concert a year ago and I loved what I heard but I'd be amazed to have seen you perform this piece, specially considering that there were around 15 different bands but no female singers. I have to add that the modification on the original song's chords and the echo in the voice are brilliant. I've been watching the video over and over again. This might be one of my favorite songs of all time. I never get tired of it and you make a wonderful rendition of it.

@kyle02 - ha, I wish. I don't know, maybe there is, but I gave up on the idea of finding consistently good tabs on the internet, for any band, a long time ago. Chordie is a pretty good site though. Or my website, at least for the songs I cover, though I'm not always able to track down accurate tabs. But I try.

Yeah, the echo/reverb, I'm trying to move away from that on my newer covers (with the exception of Street Spirit). now that I have a decent mic, I don't sound so crappy and muffled so I no longer feel the need to drown it in reverb.

I think of all your Radiohead covers your style really adds to this one the most. What you add to the song takes it in a new direction. Don't take this as an insult, but the seeming threat of apathy in your voice makes the listener find his or herself in the position of wanting to get emotionally involved. The original lacks this world-weariness and it really works with it.

Yep, Mr. Chronic, it is originally in A, but I really think that changing the key of a song gives it new life...not that this song is in danger of dying out any time soon...I love it. However, what has always fascinated me was seeing how the same song suddenly sounds completely different when you move it up a few frets. The meaning of the intervals between chords actually changes and this alters the musical expression of the song...

In this case the singer is a male (Thom Yorke) who sings in the Falcetto range. Brooke is a female who sings as low as the Baritone range (which is a rarity), and so give her actually points for changing the key.

By the way, 7crb7, I don't want to seem critical, but I think The Brooke is just using her artistic license. If you notice in her other songs she does not necessarily play them in the exact key they were written in every time. I think this is much like any other musician in that you have to add something to the songs you cover to make it worth covering them.

I have been covering this song on guitar since practically right after it was written and I really appreciated your unique interpretation of both the chords and vocal styling. I think you choose a perfect effect for your voice and the slight variations of the chords you used brought out your own special contribution to the song.
