this is very good. my only real complaint is that at some points it sounds too bright, and you need to darken the sound. other than that, very, very good.

I do like the phrasing in this one very much. Climaxing tempo on the "beach" and marcati "kisses" that follow, and just the right sized huge calmness in the end

everything is cute about two little kids kissing. the song is about a boy and a girl, have some imagination and think if it were your child. the song is beautiful and i actually got to work with eric whitacre myself and his explanation is a lot better but still.

This is probably the best song ever written. It is so simple, yet so meaningful. One of my school choirs did this song and it just made the entire crowd smile and everyone stood up. I love this song and i think it should be nominated for some kind of grammy or something :)

in terms of the actual difficulty level of the piece, its deceptive, the entire piece is structured on a series of 9th chords, and the individual part movements are very natural. The overall effect is mesmerising, i have sung it with a group of around 10 singers, and it instantly struck me as one of the most moving pieces i have ever come across. this performance is VERY good, the sound quality of the recording is good, though there is a lack of dynamics, especially in the loud bits.

Excellent performance! If there weren't the slight differences in syllable distribution (sav'ring instead of sa-vor-ing), I could easily mistake this for the Polyphony version. Your high school should be proud of its choir!! Especially the men; every choir I have been in has had trouble with the males going flat... :P

i'll agree with you in the sense that on the grand scale of all the choral performances of all the choirs in the world, this isn't one of the best. but i was in this choir for three years and i applaud our director for having the ability to mold a group of kids, 95% of whom won't study music in their lifetime, into a wonderful ensemble. but thank you for listening to us. it's always nice to hear anything from an accredited authority such as yourself.

What's wrong with this performance? I don't hear anything wrong other than a possible lack of dynamics, and considering it's at the high school level, I would make a bet and say one of out a thousand or more choirs like this exist. The recording is also hard to hear but that's not the choirs fault. I could be wrong, but I'm going to say this was a very good performance, and of course no performance of any sort is flawless...ever.
