Listen, I'm a huge VC fan. But I was a MJ fan first and both Kobe and VC are not quite as good as MJ. VC has had the least postseason success but he can still do things that neither Jordan or Kobe could do. He was a better dunker in his prime, has more range, and is less selfish than Kobe. Kobe has a little more killer instinct and a better mid-range game. Both are clutch. Jordan has a better B-ball IQ than both. When Kobe or Vince can put up 40 pts in the NBA at age 40, we'll talk.
I think its fair to say that both Carter and Kobe are basically poor man's jordans. Now before anyone goes crazy and says Kobe is way better look at the career stats. Kobe has him by basically 1.5 ppg but all the other stats are a wash. Kobe has 3 chips but all with Shaq, Vince has never really had a great supporting cast. Still both come short of Jordan by a fairly large margin.
Vince never quit on his team though. He requested to be traded - big difference. Shaq, Kobe, Kidd, Davis, and many many others have all requested to be traded as well. Why aren't you saying they quit on their team?
