but for me, as a Maiden fan since 1985, all the "new era" Maiden" albums are not as good as Angel of Retribution.

neither can they compare with old Maiden albums from the '80s.

my fave is Dance of Death, amazing songs. but the album is not 100%.

but this Priest album is 110%.

The newer Maiden albums are very good, yes.

but my point was the Angel could be No.1 Priest album, straight up there with Painkiller, no problems.

but I couldn't say that for the Maiden albums.

in my opinion the Maiden albums lack a "punch". they are just too long & if I could, I would erase last two songs on either of them.

@DomentorTheOnlyTrue The reason I don't agree on the Iron Maiden thing with you is probably because I am a huge progressive rock/metal fan and I love their progression. I love Dream Theater all that kind of music. Yea I get what you see about Angel being on par with their old stuff. Yea Ronnie is just amazing. Even the reunion album with Ozzy isn't bad. I loved their one album being known as Heaven and Hell. Really sucks Ronnie had to die. Black Sabbath may have one more Ozzy album too!!!

@AmericanNohbuddy i totally disagree. ok metallica last two albums at least imo are way worse but judas priest or heaven and hell or maiden are the same or even better. they are becoming music mature and they play more complex stuff without missing their old style. oh and at what domentor said about erasing last two songs i couldnt disagree more. When the wild wind blows for example is a masterpiece. anyway every1 has his own opinion but i believe that evolving musically is mostly positive

I saw this band in 81 in Memphis TN. Whitesnake warmed up Whitesnake with John Lord and Ian Paice. I believe this to be the best Metal band ever and as I have read on another Priest video on youtube they have just gotten better with age. Halford is the best metal singer of all time hands down without a doubt.
