@soccerdrummer13 To me yes. Spirit as been this good for years ( written book and the excecution of it ) and they were always around 8- 12 in drums. Happy to say that there are also so many good lines this year.
It's unfortunate that they are placing so low in percussion. Sounds pretty clean to me, and the beats are fun to listen to. Moreso than some of the books placing above them IMO.
@masterdrummer19 Ok but a majority of them NOT being Phantom vets have exactly nothing to do with their drumming or their approach to the technique of the PRESENT caption head. Rookies and corps hoppers have been coming along in every corps since the late 70's.
@soundquality okay calm down dude. im just saying lines are generally better when you have vets to a specific corps because they are more used to that captions heads writing. just take a fucking chill pill. i know that all players in a corps can play but if your going from scv to phantom or from cadets to crown your making i big change in everything from playing technique to marching style.
@masterdrummer19 No no I did not mean to come off pissed or anything. Kind of difficult I gues when you are reading what someone says vs. listening to them say it. Sorry. The caption head at Phantom now was at Spirit for the last 3 years and MCM from the first or second year. 90% of Phantom's snare line this year was at Spirit and MCM for the last few years and also a few other players in the line and pit. So for those people, nothing changed technique wise. That's what I was trying get at.
i really want to hear phantom warm up next time but i also want to hear all the others shows as well

Soundquality- I understand, but look at my comment. And ask yourself this question "Does this clip right here look like an 8th/9th place drumline?"

@soundquality oh okay. i see what your saying. i guess their technique would be the same then but id imagine marching still being different.
