I had to breastfeed and then pump after breastfeeding! It was really hard the first week but after that I had so much milk and I just pumped about every other feeding after he was finished and I had so much frozen milk from doing that! good Luck!
What I did when Alicia was first born was pump after every feeding for like 5 min. I also started eating LOTS of oatmeal for breakfast, cookies, and so on... I heard GREAT things about Fenugreek if you want to give that a shot. And of course lots & lots of water. Also like Hazel(booblespatpat) said, a baby is the best breastpump out their. Not one single BP can suck out as well as a baby can, so dnt rely on a BP to tell you how much you get out :]
well im not sure about the milk supply, because i produce a lot of milk for my little one. But in my option if he isnt getting enough milk i would feed him more baby food. Normally if the milk isnt enough, its time to give him baby food :D
Carson is taking 5-6oz at a feeding and is able to go about 4 1/2 -5hrs between feedings. Your doing a good job and formula feeding has its pros as well. Sounds like everyone is doing great. So we both have our 4 months check up on the 16th!! CRAZY.
Try eating oatmeal to help with your supply. I was having supply issues and ate oatmeal and within a week I noticed a HUGE difference. Prayer doesn't hurt either. ;)

Fenugreek did wonders for me, too. And since you only need to take it to boost your supply as needed, it is a quick fix.
