Continuation 3- The angel, resembles Lucas's heart ache knowing that his brother is dead. Later on, though this video doesn't show, is that in the background, you can see claus, and the backgroudn will be dark red, and you will hear a dark voice say.. "Help.....me..." and the music and everything, is to show Claus's pain. Claus died, Kumatora died when Lucas pulls the needle (was supposed to) and the whole world is destroyed.

Continuation 2 - As you fight him in the spider machine thing he was in, his last attempt to flee was to use his little shuttle ball thing, and when he flew up, it crashed and the glass broke, and he died from falling. When you meet the masked man, you fight him. You later find out that it's Calus all along, in the background, if you seen the deleted the scenes, you would notice that It involved around Claus, it started out as a cyborg, showing him his lifelessness.--

Continuation- Later on in the game, you spot someone called "The Masked Man" who you oddly feel you know. One of the magypsies mentions to you. "It's unfortunate that you couldn't pull the needle, know that who ever pulls the needle, their heart is passed onto the dragon. It's odd though, when I tried to sense that man through the earth, I couldn't sense anything at all. Why could that be?" Later on, at the end of the game, you fight porky, he was meant to die.--

Yeah, this is not Claus, I dunno what your thinking. But it's Claus. He died from trying to avenge his mother from being killed by a drago. He left an apple in the jail cell where his dad was, and left off. He was tought the PK move called "PK Love" which only those people are allowed to pull the needle. Either Fassad or Porky noticed this. And when he fell off the cliff and died from a drago. They constructed his body. Using his power to pull the needle, being lifeless.

oh whoops, the golden angel is an unused background in the masked man fight, the backgrounds were kind've lucas's thoughts

the angel/ghost was lucas thinkin that claus was dead, but thinking it was him at the same time

Its just concept art for a boss that doesnt match the story.. so it wasnt used. and obviously the red face boss at the end was WAY to much like giygas from snes so they didnt use that either. The white guy looks like a 'Reconstructed Claus' (obviously) mixed with giegu from mother 1 and also looks a tiny bit like a starman type alien. Also as everyone is saying they never ONCE mention giygas in Eb2 so for him to show up unexplained would ruin the whole story. THERES NO STARMEN OR GIYGAS!

It's not fucking Giygas. He's dead, and there's no point in saying "LOLOMG BUT HE CAME BAK FRUM TEH DEAD AND POSSESED CLAUS LOLOL!!1". The only connection is that the backgrounds undulate, which seems to be a recurring final boss thing with Itoi. And nothing else.

Thank you, dammit. I've been saying this for a long time, but no one gets it. It makes no sense for Giygas to come out of nowhere, it basically ruins the entire point of the game AND leaves the Claus/Lucas situation hanging. My theory was that it's a Magicant gone horribly wrong. Think about it: Lucas obviously isn't the most mentally stable kid in the world, and Claus...well, with what happened to him...get into their minds and you'll likely get something like this.

I totally agree! Giygas in Mother 3 = Nonsense. Guys, just hold your fanboyish theories for a second and think: having as a final boss an alien that should be dead since Mother 2 and that does NOT play the slightiest role in Mother 3 doesn't make any sense! It's not like Itoi doing something as unoriginal as this!

Remember that Giygas became red and swirly because he became "evil incarnate"/"the evil power". Who's to say another corporeal entity cannot do the same if he fallows the same path Giygas followed after Mother 1?

It is Claus, I already knew that. Giygas was controlling Claus, more likely to drain the life out of him so he could live again and make a third attempt at taking (or destroying) the world, but since it's a deleted boss, we'll never know fo sure.

NNnnnnoo. While Gyiyg does take the form of a fetus and ultrasound, HE WAS NOT A FREAKING BABY. After his defeat in Mother 1, he set out to enhance his PSI Abilities. He did, but so much so that his mind and body was destroyed. The Starmen then proceeded to contain Gyiyg in the Devil's Machine and sent him back in time to where he couldn't harm anybody and so he could regenerate himself.
