heh, I had forgotten about those hiccups :) Our parts are mainly hotrod oriented, yes. We do have a lot of universal parts as well, that will work on anything.
For sheet metal, a little mig would work fine. There is a lot of great welding info in regards to what kind of machine people like on the jalopyjournal.

TIG... pretty much everything we do is tig unless it's inside corner to inside corner. Then we mig because it fills the radius nicely.
