Things like this happened once in WC3, human race, using the hero with resurrect spell, go to a battle, replenish ur army after some of them die to maximum food supply, then cast the spell and u get over 100 food cap (sometimes 120+ if u ressurrect units with large supply count).

What im' trying to say is that this is not a bug, just like it was in wc3, its just a way for the race with generally "weaker" units to get an edge, hence blizzard won't change this at all, i think.

As usual zerg is OPed. Mass roach, then mass BL FTW. While toss had a better army composition, and had so much more micro, still lost.

@toastedmm which army composition are u talking about? Stalkers + collosus + HTs (then merge them to archons) to roaches + infestors + mass BLs + corrutors + queens? Stalkers are not the counter for roaches with burrow-move upgrade cuz they cost a lot more resources, neither are collosus(with out sentries), and most of the time, Sen's supply count is way higher. How can u think that toss had the better composition at all? If he had had some voidrays, i dont think Sen could have won that fight.

Im dissappointed zerg can increase the size of there army above 200 thous extra infestors helped then he added another 11 food later if that isnt an unfair advantage i dont know what is nothing stopping sen from making like 50 spines when he banks enough cash then cancelling and there ya go 50 food advantage with same amount of drones would annoy me

@Molcos429 In general, Zerg units are weaker and have less hit points. it's fair that Zerg can max out above 200 to get some competitive edge. If Zerg can't max out above that, it actually has some disadvantage against Protoss and Terran. my 2 cents

@Blizzard needs to prevent Zerg from getting over 200/200 food! What happened at 13:54 & 20:12 is cheating! The extractor trick is annoying but what Sen did is cheating in my book. Creating 20 Spine Crawlers for the purpose of getting over 200 food then canceling is cheating! There is no way for P or T to get over 200 food even using a cheat! @BlizShouter I think Sen should be disqualified!

sen lost a lot of minerals by doing that, if he didn't have that huge of a economy it is simply suicide doing that

it is not a "free 10 supply boost", every bonus supply costs 25 minerals.

it is a tactic that has its benefit and its cost.

sen did that a lot when he is laddering and DIMAGA did that in dreamhack too

@sc2log I agree with you when a game goes into late game max vs max army a food bonus for 25 minerals is totally over powered. Youll have P,T just constantly going for shorter games vs zerg gettin veiwers complaining and giving zerg another edge knowing P,T wont wanna go late game. When sen got the extra infestors it caused major damage that he wouldnt of been able to do in that battle and swung the game in sens favor. hasu was out macroing sen at that stage are ppl saying P,T arnt allowed macro

isn't it interesting that you always seen zerg's high end units in long fights but you never ever see protos high end units like carriers or motherships? I would like to know why that is and if they are too expensive/not strong enough then something has to change coz atm it seems like protos are working with only 2/3rds of their army list realistically available.

@baangazed The fundamental reason is production ability of Zerg. First, Zerg can produce units much quicker than protoss can. Second, a roach cost 75/25 with 2 supply cost. Considering stalker costs 125/50 with 2 supply cost. While protoss has hard time to fill out the unit cap, Zerg maxed out quickly by having simply roaches. After Zerg maxed out, Zerg can exchange army and reproduce to fight OR tech up and have higher tier units.

That 211 over 200 trick, first time I have seen that. I think Hasu lost when he lost the Cybernetics Core. He could have salvaged a comeback if had more stalkers. Sen wasn't mining.

i'm not saying zerg is OP, but they are nearly unbeatable in the late game.

not necessarily because they're OP, but because they have huge stockpiles of money in the late game (from the aggressive expanding style of zergs), and even if you trade armies, zerg can replenish their armies quicker and cheaper than terran or toss. I'm not saying they're OP. But they are very, very strong in the late game.

I honestly don't think Mc is so epic. Yeah he's amazing, but he's not "the best". People are on and off their games, and both Sen and Hasu seemed to be playing very well.

You gotta admit that Broodlords, Infestors and Roaches are frigging domination in the late game. It's definitely stoppable, but people haven't yet found a good counter.

stalkers have an easy counter: zerglings. They're dirt cheap and unless hasu micros every stalker correctly, they'll target the zerglings, the broodlings or roaches, which all do well vs stalkers.

Though stalkers are still the best counter, man on man it's hard to deal with them! XD

@mdamour1 I think the phrase fine. The "It" in question is not the unit but the player. Players do try to "get as much damage as possible" out of the units they have via micro management. I thinks that is fairly clear with a little thought and I'll go out on a limb and say that most viewers don't need every little thing spelled out for them. Its no different then other phrases like "Every last drop.." or "Make the most of.." It's just a matter of flavor of the caster, nothing wrong.

I play random but when I get Protoss I would gladly trade:

- my entire robo tech tree for Broodlords

- Chronoboost and warpgates for Queens

- Sentries... and probably DTs for Roaches

IMO Roach/Queen/Broodlord is the toughest composition to deal with. Again, I play random and have had to all three races' end game compositions with most of the three races' possible end game compositions.

Lol @ that cost to benefit ratio. We don't see this because the queens are so damn hard to manage outside of your base... but once you get 5-6 queens together in one place they become MUCH more powerful. The ability to transfuse makes them near invincible and the 7 range makes it easy to focus fire with them.

I've only have a couple games where I could use queens in a battle that wasn't at my base. They were a couple really one-sided battles, though.

@rayden0079 Zerg can still counter colossi/void rays with air. But I don't know. Void rays are sick in late game. I haven't see many protoss use them and I wonder why. Protoss need air vs broodlord.

About zerg production - when prostoss is already maxed out is hard to exchange your zerg army, because toss usually kills it.

Out of all the games i have seen.. this one is probably the best! The final game in a series of 3 games, which is a final series in a clan war. Definitely one of the best plays that you will ever see.
