nice , and for the haters or mma fighters in here u should be shame for what you already did in comment section , or at least try fight me as a man not a pussy
there is no such thing as clasical tai chi, all things must evolve in order to survive, many styles of gung fu and tai chi were only passed down through town's men and no one else would find out until they realized it needed to move on because nature evolves as well, as would our art. no one can say a style is better than another, the only way you would really know is to fight, but if martial arts should teach you anything its how not to fight. by the way love the applications in the form
Because of the ignorance we have encountered, all negative comments will be deleted automatically unless the poster has a video of themselves performing Chen Tai Chi. If the negative comment comes from someone without a video we are assuming they are full of it.
(...continued) Lots of lines of Chen... Some good, some bad. But there are reasons changes have been made by some, and I would suspect (check that, BET) those who have a problem with it have not "gotten around" to experience the difference. That said, while this particular performance is not the worst I've seen, it is certainly nothing special. No offense, but that's what I see.
Why some people think this is the "truest" form of Chen is delusional. Trying to see any of Chen Fakes disciples as a measure of what Chen Fake did (or what "TRUE" Chen style is) is absurd. CF's disiples ALL do things different from one another.
It's funny how when ever we get negative comment I check the poster's youtube channel for videos of themselves demonstrating, I either never see any videos of the poster or I not impressed. But I guess everyone's an expert.
Yes, look again at the videos in my favorites, specially those of master Yang Hai, my teacher. You will see that I don't need to put a video of myself to show you that the guy in your video didn't get it.
nice... way to sensor negative comments. seriously, if you know anything about taichi, it's clear. his arms are not connected to his body power, and his hula dancing is insulting to chen taichi.
Negative comment say a lot about the poster i should have left it up. Why not post it again so everyone can see your lack of politeness. One of the first thing i learned from my elders it to keep negative comments to myself. For me I think of being polite as part of having respect for others. I hope one day your martial arts training will bestow upon you this lesson.

nice cut and paste response. did you actually see my youtube channel? either of the two vids of myself have better body connection than this gentleman.
A very easy thing to say, isn't it? Compare this *rendition* (if you can even call it that) of this taiji form with that of Chen Xiao Wang, Chen Bing, etc and you ought to be able to notice some big differences. If you cannot notice anything or offer up excuses as to why the man in this clip moves so awful, then it really does speak to your level of "expertise".
When I first started in martial arts my teacher would always say "be humble" I've seen videos on youtube but would never comment negatively on them, but maybe it's a cultural difference as well?
Maybe. I personally don't have a problem with calling a spade, a spade. With the commercialization of martial arts, there are many people out there who claim skill but are not really where they say they are at. This is shameful.
As for my own skill level, I know that I always have more to learn. I am on a journey. To see where I am on that journey you can check out my youtube channel, it features me demstrating shaolin, shuai jiao, chin na and forms. The gentleman on the chen video is one of my many teachers.
With the commercialization of martial arts many people have failed to learn the basic life skills that should be derived from martial arts training. It is shameful that some have not learned politeness, courtesy, respect for others, and humbleness. It is wise to always to empty one's cup. To think that one knows it all is a flaw.
Nice fortune cookie philosophy, but at the end of the day, this is an example of bad taiji. A person could just look the other way, but YOU put it out there for the world to see and comment. Here it is: a very poor example of this form. Don't hide behind the philosophy of "just be nice and don't say anything bad about anyone". That is just lame. No one is saying they know it all. People should know what is good skills or not though. This individual in the clip needs proper instruction.
I put it up on youtube but I did not invite you to make a comment. YOU took it upon yourself to be be disrespectful. At the end of the day there is no clip of yourself doing tai chi and no way for people to know the extent of your skill. If anyone is hiding it is you. Are you brave enough to post a clip of your form?
I personally reserve on forming an opinion until I actually touch hands with someone. I have seen people who don't fit the classical "look" of tai chi but were powerful nonetheless.
At first I wasn't particularly impressed by the forms demonstration. I'm used to Chen village family style more but I really like the pushhands, chinna drills and selfdefense applications.

Except... the guy in this video. Is he your teacher? Or yourself maybe? Do some research, maybe you'll figure out where this gentleman went wrong.

Juan0003, I see a lot of favorites on your youtube channel but their seems to be no videos of yourself?

Your teacher is very good. I would like to lear from him one day.

I would be interested, in his opinion of our conversation, would you be proud to show him what you have been posting on youtube?

Thank you, on his behalf. You see why I don't post videos; no matter how good I will get ever I will always suck compared to him.
