6 or 7 feet. And *very* docile when handled if done regularly. But they have a fantastic feeding response so I'd recommend a hook rather than just reaching in to pull it out. Safer for their little teeth.
There is no such thing as a dwarff albino they don't exist it's not possible with the genetics there was a big topic about it and someone explaind it all but basicly albino is not something you can get with super dwarffs , at the moment anyway im sure they will find a way
it is possible it just takes many years of cross breeding to big albinos then breeding the offspring to a het for albino. you would need to do this twice with 2 different bloodlines then breed them to each other to prevent too much inbreeding. you would have to do this lots and lots of times but eventually you would get there. on the up side tho you would get all sorts of interesting bi products like 50% dwarf 66% poss het and so on. you could in theory do it with any morph it just takes time.
@TimeSplittersChimp I understand what your trying to say but you are missing a little accuracy. indeed there is no such thing as "an albino superdwarf"
however what has been accomplished is what is known as 75% albino dwarfs which are 75% jampea dwarfs morphs. AND now I'm hearing about success of the 75% albino morph which breaks down = 50% jampea and 25% actual super dwarf
hi ive got 7 baby super dwarf phyton i only found them in our own back yard do think the mother is still here? how much can i sell it per piece? im from asia, philippines....
Absolutely sure. They are an insular variant of the species. A segment of a species population become separated and adapts to the conditions of the isolated environment, in this case resulting in smaller versions. There are dwarf-retics (up to 14 feet in length), and then super-dwarfs (up to 6-7 feet). Research sellers in your area, as you really don't want to buy a baby and find out it's not a dwarf at all. If you're in Canada, I'd recommend Henry Piorun or Pro-Reptiles.
Yup. The prices for Super Dwarf males seem to run about 400, and females 800 to 1000 (Canadian). I just noticed that you're in the US, so I'd recommend you check out the FaunaClasssifieds forums and ask for a well known breeder in your area.
I'm pretty sure that's not a Super Dwarf Tiger. Very nice Super Dwarf. I have a few pairs of them myself, hoping to see some hatchlings from them in the spring.
Prices vary depending on the dealer. I'd highly recommend Pro Reptiles, which is run by Sean and Chris Blasko. Their stock is healthy and very easy on the eyes :)
What a beautiful snake, but tell me, are they really docile? Their larger relatives are usually not so I have my doubts, but I am hoping because my boyfriend is dead set on a retic someday!
Their reputation for being nasty comes from many of the earlier specimens being wild caught. If you get a captive bred baby and handle it regularly they're quite mellow. :)
how large would a male super dwarf retic get? and how tame are they usually?

Reticulated pythons grown dangerous big. I'd like to have one when I have a very large cage for him

This is a super-dwarf retic. They max out at 6 to 7 feet.
bitterbug 4 years ago
Are you sure about that?? Because I'm thinkin to buy a 7 feet constrictor snake?? I'd appreciate if you send me a response.

Thats awesome! That fits everything together, the two we have met are both wild caught so that explains it. Thanks so much!

That is a great looking little guy you have there!
Have a pair of tigers myself but the BIG kind...LOL
Would love one of these if and when they become avaliable down here in South Africa.
Cool vid!
