  • So if I wanted to say "that's enough, get the hell out of here!" then I'd say: mouii, atchi ike!

    Right?

  • 1:10 - *Scrolls down to read comments*

1:25 - ..."Are you still here?!"

Me: ...*scrolls back up* "yesh?" :o

  • Comment removed

  • No shit, and I always thought that gesture means: "Come closer, tell me more, you are very interesting."

  • I got it right! Though it was pretty obvious...

  • Always choose letter B 'coz its always right! haha

  • i like her face while performing the act heheheheh of going away 0:16 hehehe shes cute kawa--iiiiii

  • Why is it that even "Atchi ike" sounds polite in Japanese?

  • Kawaiiiiiiiiii!!!!

  • sugoi~!! buravo Hiroko-sensei :)

  • it means im a spaz with problems and im having a spaz attack

  • in one of the earlier videos, she taught im sorry, as gomen, if thats im sorry, then what is gomenasai

  • @jackapples3 gomen nasai is the polite version of gomen. :)

  • a hahah you did a funny face on this video :D i love you Hiroko :D

  • hiroku sensei wa kirei na

did I formulate that sentence right? "teacher hiroku is pretty"

  • @eeskaatt hahaha xD If you're girl, you can say "Hiroko-sensei wa kirei naa!" and if not, you can say "Hiroko-sensei wa kirei desu." or you can say it without "desu"... btw, her name's Hiroko ^^

    xD

  • @0KatyChan0 thank you very much! :)

they should also include the words that are specifically used to each gender XD

  • @eeskaatt xD "na" is used by men but it means interdiction :) e.g. "sonna koto suru na!" (means Don't do a such things!) ... I think xD

  • I have all the answers right so far. It's similar in Filipino culture.

  • Lol @ "...other variations..."

  • I need to say that to people in my class. Their all clones of eachother so i dont like them. . . they dont like me at all =\

  • maybe c no thankyou

  • I really like the song of the begin and the last part of the video.

    Very much !!!!

  • mouii is used alot in anime.....

  • is "kearo" ok? i think it means get lost.

  • @anirudhkrishnamani maybe you mean, "kiero" -command form of "kieru". :)

  • @HIROKOCHANNEL

    hai! arigato gosaimasu! hiroko sama!

  • Ooh. Half-swears. :P

  • Hiroko is TOO Cute!!! (Kawaii!!!!) - I love her voice. Yes, I am familiar with 'That ' Gesture - American girls do it too.

  • the next one looks like "bye bye" ^^

these lessons are truly interesting, i understand much better people's reactions and gestures in the Japanese TV dramas i watch now!

  • agree with neojapanese

    atchi ike!!!

  • It' s very similar to italian gesture

  • her lessons are very simplified so even people with no japanese background whatsoever can get to be quite fluent in the japanese language.... question- i hear there are alot of hip-hop scenes(including record stores) in japan, is this true? i

  • Yes, there is a pretty big hip-hop scene in Japan :) I'm sure if you look for Japanese hip-hop videos on Youtube, you can find some!

  • @jbpiano1 Search Hime. She's a beast

  • I'm really liking all these gestures. Thank-you for these wonderful videos!

  • Sugoi kantan no kurasu!

    Arigatou Gozaimasu!

    Mai nichi mo sukoshi wakarimasu!

I really enjoy how you include the facial expressions with the gestures!

  • I have a little question about your first sentence: " sugoi kantan no kurasu"

when using a na-adjective such as "kantan", shouldn't it be "kantan na kurasu" ? Or kan you interchange "na" with "no" after an adjective?

I'm still learning the language so i won't miss any opportunity for learning more about the Japanese grammar!

  • Your lessons r gr8 !! Best Part is the English explaination & ofcource the

    先生 :-)

  • @nadim776 lucky

  • she is so cute , is not she :) ?

best teacher in the world :)

  • thank you. :)

  • @shemonk ... indeed, she is the cuttest teacher in the web... je je!

  • @shemonk Best online teacher sure :D I don't think a class full of people going "Awww, isn't she adorable?" would enable her to teach very well though. :p

  • Hehehe, go go, go on ^^

    Nice suit/top btw

  • mecchaaa kawaiiiiiiii

  • The waving for "come here" could easily be misunderstood if you haven't seen it before. Maybe it will be in the next one.

  • Hmm, is the next gesture 'bye bye'? Looks like it, but not really. XD

'Kira kira' / twinkling/sparkling maybe? hahaha, no idea.

  • The way you wrinkled your nose I thought it meant kasaii. Stinky

  • I believe the word you're looking for is kusai!

  • You are correct. Thanks.

  • nice, i would actualy pay if you guys updated more often :P

  • i love these vids!

  • Great, next time someone touches my backside on the train in Toyko, I can use these expressions right?

Are these expressions used for an animal? Eg. A dog is annoying you in the park - go away dog?

  • Lol. "Get the heck outta here." Ironically similar to the Finnish mentaliy: "painu helvettiin!"

  • lol

  • Literal Translations (from what I can tell):

Acchi ike! (Go that way! [since you're waving in that direction furiously, its go away])

    Mou ii! (Enough Already!)

    this is correct, yes?

  • that's also what i thought. haha :P

  • I think we use this one in most countries. XD

  • Is THAT guess the gesture one "Bye"?

Hiroko-sensei is the best sensei ever!

  • Isn't she a great teacher? ;)

  • Wait...are you calling yourself a great teacher in the third person...or are you someone else? Either way, yes. =3

  • This is Jessi ^^ I was agreeing with you that Hiroko-sensei is a great teacher!

  • I wouldn't! lol

  • I figured you wouldn't, so I was confused. Thank you so much for these lessons! Domo arigato gozaimasu!

  • this one was kind of obvious! looking forward to the next vid though :)
