  • i think us having cern is same as to give a monkey the button to world destructive atomic bomb. do we really know enough about things which cern deals with? because we are not capable of excluding certainly the possibility of creating a growing and destructive singularity we should not fuck with these stuff right now. its way too early. we are moving way too fast

  • This reminds me of black Mesa

  • I dunno, the risk of a quantum singularity is still there... Would i risk creating one in order to learn more about the universe? maybe once we figure out a way to deal with small black holes inside earth's atmosphere... But till then i wouldn't turn that thing on X3

  • @Zadamanim do you realise that these there are one more possibility? Every day, particles enter the earth's atmosphere with more energy than LHC. This has been ongoing since forever. And yet, the earth is still here. Its like magic...until you realise that this also means there is no realistic risk from LHC experiments, because the experiments have already been done. Just not done in a controlled manner like LHC.

  • What's the mistake?

  • so the entire video is not explaining anything, if I am correct. This is just trying to get people to listen to a song some dude made with shitty equipment in his parents garage, again, if I am correct. Noting is stated, examined, or uncovered as to the supposed "CERN mistake". I think that the only mistake is if anyone watches this video.

  • @BootyClapn Thank you!

  • Well, that was a waste of time!

  • I didnt wast my time watching that video. I jumped to the end and realized it was the exact same crap for over 3 minutes. So what is the mistake? You didnt actual list or talk about any mistakes. Unless youre implying that human ingenuity and the endeavor to gain scientific understanding is itself a mistake. If so, go back to your cave. Most certainly log off the computer, if nothing else.

  • Cool music. It's hard to find people posting The Fixx.

  • This is the first calculator ever made.

  • People see the word Nuclear and go OMFG PANIC ATTACK STOP IT RADIATION DEATH DOOM OMG lol

  • Microsoft Windows Inside !

  • LIKE a HALF -LIFE game XD

  • When youtube came into existence it helped the stupidity of people find a voice. This is possibly the stupidest thread ever. LHC is not going to melt the universe. And regardless of what it finds you are still going to have to feed yourself and your kids. So Although it will be nice to know loads more its not going to affect our daily lives that much.

  • The reason there was an explosion was because a a section of super conductor used to pass the huge currents used to propel the "particles" overheated, The new resistance created enough heat that it melted a portion of the machine and burned it up. The mistake was in highering union workers to build the refrigeration unit. Just kidding.

  • @07112000 good comment

  • You should be concerned with the people who push Nuclear or are behind more projects that can be potentially catastrophic. Especially under places that contain mass numbers of nuclear plants within a couple of hundred miles.

  • Where is the MISTAKE...?

  • And yes I do believe we've far and long surpassed our ability to control such forces. IE. The detonation of the first atomic weapon. in other words: "The children have found the matches"

  • It's mind blowing just how immense and complex this thing is. Hard to believe humans created it

  • That did not make any sense.

  • haha wtf? I thought it was a photo collage of the LHC. what's this illuminati BS?

  • WTF? I don't get it. Why exactly is the Cern a mistake?! Just because you have no clue how the LHC works and what they're doing? ...

  • 2:17 skin cancer special, welding without a glove on his hand, I bet it was nice and red by the end of the shift!

  • look in quantum physics theres a theory that black holes can appear and disappear for short periods of time leaving behind a higgs field the experiment is very intelligent its just peple that dont understand physics that cause a panic

  • @kevindoom ..maybe, but i would propose that this type of science is still in an infancy sytage and perhaps more caution should be used....?

  • @MrFox7stringking Seriously? Infancy? We've been messing with particle accelerators since 1929, when Ernest O. Lawrence invented the first one in California. They've been around nearly as long as cars have, and their in their infancy? Do some research. Have faith in the scientific community, they at least have enough sense to not believe in magic space daddies.

  • These "Spaniards without the habit of speaking another language" are real downers!

they speak better than most on you tube.

  • Am I supposed to conclude something?

  • ok... i cant see any misstake?

  • The Thrist for so called Knowledge, will ultimately lead to destruction, they can-not contain what they will Create

  • 0:08 = death star tunnel

  • Not good idea human can create a universe b, the elite would have humanity on their knees with threats of destroying the original, the one we know.

  • looks like a space ship, death star ore something

  • i always wondered what going into a black hole would be like

  • @darcyryan99

I read somewhere one of the most painful experiences ever. I don't know their justification, and nor can i understand how they estimate it, but predictions say that each individual atom inside of you would explode/implode, and the time warp created by mass gravity would slow time down to a fraction.

but still, this guy is wrong. No way are CERN going to blow up the world. Enjoy your normal death in a healthy number of years :D

  • what is the problem with the lhc?

  • @starwave1967: When it was first started there was a faulty connection to a magnet, and the proton stream destroyed a section on the proton superhighway. It took a year to repair, and the site went back to experiments in late 2009.

  • its obvious LHC can't destroy the earth, at least not by creating black holes:

    1 small black holes vaporises

2 if the created a black hole(and the theories are wrong) it would be too small to be able to hit any other particles and it would have enough energy to leave the earth

  • What's the song please?? Sounds like the 80s. Thanks in advance.

  • @johnbumstacker The Fixx - Facing The Wind

  • I don't know what your point was, but if it's "LHC will kill us" then i think you may be mistaken, and have to accept that some people (researchers) generally know a bit more about physics than they put on the internet.

They gave us the interwebz, lets see what they do next.

  • @mortuus8 interwebz??? is that a Bush-ism?

  • @tomaf

    International

    Network of

    Thoughtless and

    Emotionally

    Retarded

    Waste of

    Energy and

    Bandwidth

Z (the Z is just for fun)

  • @tomaf: The WorldWideWeb was developed on the back of the Internet at CERN.

  • No proof it is a mistake. The video maker is ignorant of Cern.

  • i think i heard that this project was a big step for the humans and we found something calld dark materia and if we can understand that we will know about 30%of space . sorry for my english :)

  • So expensive! Was it worth it?

  • @medjugorjemir

not that expensive really, the complete project costs maybe the same as one week of the middle east war. This has already led to internet, hard discs of more than 1gb and will be a step in nuclear fusion as a source of energy. quite a good investment!

  • Correction, a british guy working at CERN.

  • The Internet was not invented at CERN. No single organization can be given credit for that. The idea was initiated by the US military and two of the major players were DARPA and DoD, but many groups contributed to what we know as the World Wide Web today. HTML was invented by a Swiss physicist at CERN if that makes you feel any better though.

  • they say that if somthing goes wrong it can create a black hole or it can make a "'strange quark(blabla)" that can change our planet into a mess of dead matter...(if its bad english, sorry ;P)

  • @virash Thats great english mate ,.and a very good point,

  • great english but acoridng to stephen hawking black hole's evaporate so if it did create a black hole it would disapear as fast

  • timelordcreation Stephen Hawking ha you have to be joking,.. :)

  • @dumbbell33 joking about what

  • timelordcreation i am not a Hawkings fan .

he isnt the one to look for answers about this.

  • I... I don't know. Maybe I've misunderstood something. I wish you could explain me this (and sorry for my English, I'm one of those Spaniards without the habit of speaking another language)

Do you think we should belive in those paranoid fears about the end of the world and gigantic black holes instead of the opinion of internationally recognized scientists and proved experts in the field? Why?

  • @BatchDrake ..yea well the "experts" had it dead right with "Global warming" didnt they ,..

internationally recognised experts ,.recognised by their own clique mainly,. and all for a price,..

maybe everything you know is wrong ?

an ex is a has been and a spurt is a drip,..

thus an "expert" is a has been drip :)

  • It's difficult to think that everything I know is wrong when I passed most time of your life proving the facts of science. You know, when everything just makes perfect sense, there's no way to go back.

You're mixing physics with climatology and it has nothing to do with this. I had this conversation many times in the past and I'm not going to start it again. I'm tired of repeating the same thing if no one will listen. Maybe... it's just matter of beliefs, isn't it?

    Good luck, then.

  • @BatchDrake k,.. bye :)

  • @dumbbell33 I was really hoping you were going to answer his question. I enjoyed the history you had written up, but honestly other then have people come up with responses I fail to see the point. Cool song great images. I am a scientist (chemist) but refuse to call myself an expert just yet. I did a study in Hawaii recently on the environment and try and learn and respect all aspects of the world around me. So just curious what your point is.

  • @ninthguardian9 Try looking beyond your teachings.and I dont say that disrespectfully.I think peoples responses are intrinsically important.

Its up to the individual and their own questions as to what answer they arrive at.

If you really are interested in ALL aspects of whats around you.

Then have the audacity to see that Science is just a sketch of a mirage.

or not, thats your business. If you fail to see a 'point' then maybe you are looking

through your linear based programmed goggles.

  • FYI if the end of the world were to result from something that the government pays scientists to make, they are not going to tell you.

  • That's reasonable. Probably as much as the end of the world planned by the government.

  • @BatchDrake because these people making the myths have no idea whats going on....

  • @BatchDrake I don't know. I thought the idea came from the scientist in the first place. I read this years ago, its all a bit vague now. It seems that a lot of back tracking have been done by the scientist in order to maintain better public relations. I mean, you can't get very far saying: "... and it might just destroy the Earth"

  • @BatchDrake

The LHC is awesome. It slams particles together and doesn't give a fuck about paranoid fears.... besides, if we break the laws of the universe only to have it retaliate and, like, stop existing, that means that suffering a painful death also doesn't exist.

  • @Kizak6 death, is just the end of the capsule, our energy moves on, we are here to learn and experience, but thats right, u must be a sheep. you just wana eat and die peaceful. what a waste of intelligence

  • @BatchDrake As you have stated, they are paranoid, so don´t bother with them

  • @BatchDrake

It is human nature to cast doubt and feel uncertain about everything they see. While at its best this constant questioning attitude is the basis of modern science and learning, at its worse it is also a double edged sword which would result in distrust in intellectuals and knowledge that had been acquired, even ones that are legitimate and logical, especially if its nature is disturbing and unsettling to people in its implications.

  • @BatchDrake If you have told one lie, that makes you a liar. If you have stolen one thing, that makes you a thief. JESUS said; if you look at a person with lust, you commit adultery in your heart! Ever used GOD's name in vain; then you are a blasphemer and can't enter heaven! Rev. 21v8 says; "All liars will have their part in the lake of fire!" The bible says; No thief or adulterer will inherit GOD's kingdom! You broke GOD's laws; but JESUS paid your fine! Repent, trust the Savior!

  • @EXALTEDDIRT So is it wrong for a starving child to steel a loaf of bread and will the child be punished for a short lack of judgement in blaming god for his violent alcoholic gambling abusive parents even when the child knows nothing of the name Jesus. this is pure innocence.and not to judged. leave that for God. I've found evil men to be more at peace with god than good men. in other words you don't know someone until they are really tested.

  • @silleeellis Are you a starving child? Because the same sun that softens wax hardens clay. The very thing that should humble him and cause him to look to GOD, who is the remedy for all things, instead causes him to harden his heart against GOD and turn away from him in hatred is the ultimate self-righteous spirit that causes men to look to themselves for salvation when in fact; It is their very self-righteousness that will damn them. Evil men cannot be at peace with GOD without repentance/faith

  • why'd you ask if I'm a starving child, sarcasm hey, well I've been a staving child and yes I have had temporary lapses in judgment. What god Has shown me is that He/she can bring you in to this world and take you out but majority of the middle you're on your own in the jungle and there are no rules to survival, the rules start when you have received provisions the game applies only to when you are not in hunger. you have a snake on crack in your subconscious and its hissing at this.

  • @silleeellis Not at all! You might be projecting on that one. If you continue in your sins, you will continue to be cut off from GOD and his presence comforting you in all your trials. (IF) you genuinely Repent, turn from all sins, and trust in Christ alone, you will know GOD's love, mercy, forgiveness, and comfort everywhere you go. I have had some of the worst trials of life turned into a bed of roses because of GOD's everlasting arms upholding me and comforting me in ways that are beyond...

  • @EXALTEDDIRT you can't blame others for there reactions, that split decision that comes from our subconscious, My friend used to get beaten up by his dad and he used to run away like he stole something. he didn't, his dad was just evil. One day I called him from the other side of the road, and in a split decision he ran and got hit by a car, he ran exactly like he was running away from his dad trying to cheat the traffic, and he stole something earlier on, that split decision to cheat sadness.

  • its like Jesus, god installed one subconscious thought and belief in Jesus, a microscopic force, he teaches and the students teach there children eventually there is enough people with the believe of Jesus teachings they are able to persuade everyone else next thing you no everyone is living god wish not to kill e.g the devil works the same but for bad negative microscopic subconscious thoughts only for bad, I've seen it and believe it or not possessed it to, Its not up to some people.its scary

  • @silleeellis That's true! Biblically, what you are speaking of is the conscience spoken of in Romans chapter 2v15, and in Hebrews chapters 9,10, and 11...It always bears witness with the truth of GOD's word whether the person agrees or not!

  • @virash nah no thats just fear talking

  • As a Catholic myself I know the good & bad of the situation of the Church in re Christ's command to care for the poor.

Yes, those Catholics who do take the Gospel seriously do very good things. However that is not true of the Vatican organization as a whole.

"convert to eat' is a long-standing policy in their so-called missionary work. In many parts of the world only lip service is given to the poor...

...while bishops & clergy live in splendor.

  • Agreed and this to shall end very soon.

  • Indeed......

  • As an example of their very early, pioneering involvement, the Vatican was on the 'internet' at least as early as c. 1986. Long before the general public were aware of it or had access.

    Ponder that.......

  • @19lfm12 All one can get from that is that the Vatican has more money and influence than it should.

  • @Cesane ...that would be the understatement of the year!

    And of course, I agree!

  • One needs to realize that the global, geopolitical entity - which is also a nation/state - that has been involved in CERN since its initial organization is;

    The Vatican.

And it is as intrinsically involved with CERN as it is with RIPE & the development of what we know as the Internet. Do not assume they know nothing of science; they are very heavily involved in advanced research.

Yet usually via 3rd parts links & front organizations. Fact...not 'conspiracy theory'!

  • wasnt the internet invented at CERN. Last i checked clergy men know nothing about computer programming and telecomunications

  • Correct: the Internet was invented at CERN. The Vatican is one of the entities which was/is an original member of this consortium.

The Vatican has had web capability since 1985; though their public website only dates to 1995.

True: most clerics know nothing technological. But those who are chosen to work in the Vatican are - & are highly educated & savvy.

Those in the average church are just worker bees, at best.....

  • Interesting....thanks homes

  • @disturbedfrog: While an atheist myself, I can't let that stand.

The Society of Jesus has been in the forefront of all forms of learning for over 400 years; they have universities everywhere. George Coyne, SJ, was the director at the Vatican observatory; look in wiki to see a list of his papers. Teilhard de Jardaine was a French Jesuit in the search for the ancestors of man. Georges LeMaitre, while not a Jesuit, was a priest who developed the main ideas of the Big Bang theory. Clergy all.
