does your truck have a 6ft bed and a regular cab, not extended because im looking to buy this type of muffler system and i want to make sure it will fit my truck
Hey awesome exhaust man I just installed the same exhaust on a 1990 GMC c1500 5.7. and I was wondering when you put yours on did you notice any exhaust smell in the cab when the windows were open? and if you did, what did you do to fix it?
yeah i noticed a smell.. i guess mainly because the exhaust exits right under the passengers side window almost. plus, my truck is running really rich so the smell is very bad. the only thing i know to do to fix it is to get a rear exit exhaust...
I dunno man, ive always heard that mufflers will sound the same from day one, until they rust out or whatever. Ive never noticed a difference in my flows for 2 years. I just got rid of it and put a glasspack on and it sounds awesome. Glasspacks will get louder over time due to the inner packing burning out, but ive never heard that for mufflers.
Not a big change but just enough to notice. Mine had a glasspack and when the pipes rusted out I put the Flowmaster on it. think the Flowmaster sounded better. But everone has their own preference.
Where did you find the exhaust system, i went on gibson website and cant find it for a 1997 chevy extended cab

Sounds awesome, but exhaust doesn't break in.

Yes break in. I call it burn in. I had a 96 S-10 that I put a Flowmaster on. After a month it sounded better. Get a more mellow.
