I am so glad that I didn't switch the channel when The Wedding Weekend came on. My god, They make Phil Collins sound like a street corner singer.
Thats one of the best sounding bands I ever heard. So bold, deep and powerful voices. Dangit, now I have to go down the list and hear all of the tunes they sing now and probably play many of them over at least a few times...there goes my saturday.
Great job guys! Keep up the fantastic work.... if only all the kids in Australia were taught music like this, life would be a lot better. Great to hear music the old fashioned way!
The underused end of my hipster personality is happy to know that I had no idea this group had anything to do with "Glee" or "The Warblers," whoever the hell they are.
Hi, I'm "CuriousKaaren" from Canada, from a few posts previous. Yes, I knew that the Beelzebubs play the Warblers (except for of course "Kurt" and "Blaine"). I found that out at the beginning of my digging. I was just marvelling that the Glee folks took so many of their songs pretty much just as they were (which was marvellous, so it was a no brainer really). I'm now a Bubs fan and have downloaded several tunes off iTunes. Great!
Simply marvellous. I am a Glee fan, and I knew there had to be a real life equivalent of the "Warblers". So I did a little digging. And I was surprised even more to see that some of the show's hit songs were done previously in awfully similar arrangements by the "Bubs". So this is art imitating life. Bravo fellahs!
@galadriel1320 This is from the 2002-2003 groups... The Bubs who provided vocals for glee was the 2010-2011 group. They arent the same people.. Same group different singers sorta thing
O-M-G! This is simply unbelievable, unbelievable. I got lost in the music, forgetting that I was listening to the voices of a dozen young men rather than a studio full of musicians. Truly unbelievable! They should have won the Sing Off last year...no doubt in my mind.
Such rich tones! Just amazing stuff! And the big break just emphasizes how incredible the chord in the background is when it comes back completely naked and stands on its own so well.
With a clear, crisp lead singer, it is great to find that he is not covering for anyone. He stands alone in front, as a great quarterback, in full knowledge that his 'defenders' have his back. And how! Such rich background vocal/ rhythms! Pure harmonies; full undertones of the bass line resonating under impossibly tight tenor lines - make this a wonder to the senses! Those who appreciate good music know that it takes more than one sense to 'get it'. Come get it. You won't be sorry!
I love this!!!:)

Where is the live version of this? It's a nice recorded product, but I would like to hear if they can produce an effective version of this live?

I had the honor of hearing these guys perform this song live my senior year at Tufts ... the Bubs from 2000 to 2003 were heart stopping-ly amazing.

I'm pretty sure I like this better than the original... it's rare that that happens but they're just so dang good here :)

Goosebumps galore, even with inconsistent audio quality. This is wonderful.
I agree, they were the best on Sing-Off last year.
