  • Dear Ms. Sylvia,

Harmony knows this song and she is singing this with you. In her words this rendition is "Stupendous" I know she is right. :)

Sorry to hear of Teejay's demise. Harmony loves thge pictures and video accompanying your song.

Thank you for the wonderful performance of this classic.:)

  • @ordepix sorry for the typo, Pedro. 8o)

  • According to my mom, this was my very first favorite song ! Loved it.

  • @doctorcastille Thanks very much, Mike - I grew up listening to this one, too - Patti Page was one of my dad's fav's. 8o)

  • This was always a favorite song of mine when I was a kid. Your voice lends itself to this beautifully, Sylvia. Thanks for taking me down memory lane, just wonderful. My next door neighbors (I lived next too when I was a kid also) had a German shepard. His name was Duke, and I have found memories of him. Great pics of your dog too. :) Janet

  • @onewomanandsomesongs Hey, thanks Janet. My pleasure. I used to be afraid of German Shepherd until we had a couple of them and I understand them now. They are great pets, as you found out with your neighbor's dog. Thanks for coming by, Janet. 8o)

  • Such sad news Sylvia, my heart goes out to you my friend.

But what a wonderful heartlifting dedication to your dear friend Teejay, I love it. :-))

I'm sure he loved every year with you as much as you did with him.

I lost my best friend of 13 years just 2 months ago, a black labrador named Shadow.

Her leash now serves as a strap for my brass guitar... sure miss that 'ol gal...

She was the best dog to walk the earth. Well, next to Teejay of course. ;-)

A big 'ol hug to you my friend. :-)

  • @profwaldo Thanks so much for your thoughtful comments, Wally. Sorry about your Shadow - I know it's very difficult to go through. What a wonderful idea using the leash for a guitar strap!

  • Oh I feel sorry for you and your family Sylivia. I know what it means to lose a dog who followed one like a shadow. But your video will bring you back all the good memories. Well done! All the best to you and your family - Sabine

  • @SabMei1 Hi Sabine - thank you so much for your comments - we appreciate it very much. Yes, I'm happy to have all those pictures and good memories.

  • Hallo Sylvia, I think it was a very good idea to record this song in remembrance of your dear dog. It is an uplifting song and it was nice to use the "arf arf"... Hmmm... in Germany dogs say "Wau wau".

Talk to you later. Your Berlin friend Anette

  • @TanteA Hallo my Berlin friend Anette - thanks so much for your wonderful comments. Yes, I was trying to make it happy not sad. Can't pretend it wasn't/isn't very sad, though. Thank you for my laugh this morning - actually, Teejay sounded more like wau wau than art art. Maybe it's because he was a German Shepherd. lol Talk to you later.

  • @TheBorgLives Thanks very much for your insightful comment, Larry - yes he was a big part of the family. Hey, I remember this from my childhood, too. Patti Page was one of my dad's favourite singers. Have a great one yourself.

  • Aww, what a wonderful song for your remembrance video of Teejay, very heart touching Sylvia. My heart goes out to you, I know it's hard to lose a pet that you love, they really are like family... I sure wish dogs and cats had longer life spans, but sadly they just don't. I'm sure Teejay's 12 years were filled with much happiness and love... I know our 3 cats have it made with us, we spoil them (lol)! Take care and again my heart goes out to you and your family.... FrAnK

  • @allshookup1977 Thank you for your very thoughtful comments, Frank. And yes, that's what makes me feel a lot better - knowing what kind of great life he had - like your cats, Teejay was pretty much spoiled. Your words are much appreciated.

  • What a lovely dedication to "Teejay" ! Oh, I know how this is to loose an animal which you had for years ! Like my cat Nicki (she looked like your cat on the vid) we had her 21 years !!! But I believe to lose a dog is much more hurt ! Anyway, you did a great video Sylvia !!! And lovely sung ! thumbs up from me and a hug, Karen-Gypsy:-))

  • @karenmuenchen Thank you very much for your lovely words, Karen. Yes, it seems many people have a cat that looks similar to Tippy - wow - 21 years - that is amazing! Tippy is about 15, so that is good to hear. Thanks for your kindness & hug - so nice.

  • Hi Sylvia !

I feel with you ! I love dogs too, to lost him is a big big hurt !

All the best for you, think of all the nice time with him, importend to know, nothing is for ever... ! Ervery new day is a present !

Your dog Teejay looks very pretty , sure he was a very good dog .

    Kind regards

    Barbara

  • @babs7965 Hi Babs - thank you very much for your kind & wise words. It does make me feel better. You are right - he was a very good dog - like my shadow and very intelligent and obedient (well most times). Thanks for your kindness.

  • Ahh Sylvia, so sorry about Tee Jay. It is so hard to lose our pets, they are like our children. I just lost my last basset hound in December, and I still miss her so. Tee Jay was beautiful, and I know he was loved. I loved your video and your singing the song. Thanks for sharing my friend. Gwen

  • @cadjunk Thanks very much, Gwen - yes I always used to call him my baby Teejay, even though he got so big - 100 pounds! Sorry to hear about your basset hound. It's always difficult to go through. Glad you enjoyed this.

  • This is awesome and your dog is beautiful. Excellent job. Laura

  • @laurabrake1 Thanks very much, Laura - so nice to hear. I thought he was beautiful, too.

  • this is another song that fits your voice perfectly Sylvia, very nice.. our dog is 12 this year, she's an old grannie :)

  • @jugnutgut2 Thanks very much, Rob. Yes, lots of dogs can live much longer than that and I sure hope yours is one of them.

  • Always a Treat Sylvia Excellent and a Big Thumbs Up!!!!

  • @TUCKERZONE Thanks very much, Nidge - nice to hear you enjoyed this.

  • Sylvia that is sung so beautiful... just great.

    Jack

  • @JackGAdams Thanks very much, Jack - glad you enjoyed this. I was trying to make it happy not sad.

  • Teejay was also lucky to have had you too I'm sure! Great song sung so sweetly! I have to admit I was singing this song yesterday but I changed the words to fit the personality of my granddog, kimber. My changed words were " I'm glad we have our doggie named kimber who bites feet and chews on our clothes. She steals food off of the kitchen table. Then waits for kiss and a hug!

  • @LittleFawn60 Thanks so much, Donae - actually you are right - we tend to spoil our pets terribly. Glad you liked my version of the song. "granddog" lol - guess I have one of those, too, by the name of Hudson - Australian Ridgeback - wonderful dog. Love your lyrics - I envy you songwriters!

  • Beautifully sung and a great tribute to TeeJay,i can see he was a well loved member of the family and he will be very missed by you all,a really fantastic video too,Sylvia.

  • @petermackett37 Thank you very much, Peter, for your kind words. Yes, we sure miss him but feel very lucky that we had him so long. Nice to hear you enjoyed the video.

  • A beautiful tribute to TeeJay. It is also a wonderful advertisement for 'rescue dog' services.

Those photographs will bring great memories, Sylvia.

  • @geoff1945 Hi Geoff - thanks so much. Yes, I'm really glad we have all of the pictures to bring back all the wonderful memories.
