Ahh, actually you reminded me of one factor Chris has. It's a kind of defence shield. His awful smell. If he did somehow get his arm around somebody's neck and fiddled around with the knife for like 9 seconds, people would usually be able to riggle out of that in maybe four seconds (maybe even less if somebody is trapped in Chris' strangely skinny arms for such a fat body).
