Most wealthy people in America have very little liquid assests beyond what they need to pay their bills (which end up being extensive). Most corporate profits either are returned to shareholders as dividens or in cases of economic downturn are used to invest because they can do it at a discount. Look at Chase, or Longs, or Dryer's Ice Cream.; all expanding. Providing more jobs and, hopefilly, lowering out unemployment rate.
