I too have lately started stock piling ammo. But this reality checked kicked in. How is it that I could ever dispatch x number of 1,000s of rounds and not be shot or killed myself? The reality is, that if I get killed, all my stock pile of guys & ammo would likely end up in the hands of the guy that shot me. Am I the only one that feels this is possible?

you know if you really think about it this is vary impractical: first of all if a shtf scenario happened you wouldn’t be able to carry all of that ammo. and if your thinking that you can just defend your house you are dead wrong! the reason being is 1. you could get shot regardless of what guns you have. 2. barricading yourself in your house doesn’t work either once you shoot an intruder the others will just try to burn your house down with you in it. with that in mind i have my plan.
TOO diverse. When you're talking about survival you want everyone shooting the same gun and use the same ammo, so if parts break or they run out of ammo, you just swap it out.
On the cheap, Buy like 5 Mosin Nagant's at $100 a rifle. Ammo is about $0.25 a round, so you can easily get enough ammo for you entire family and friends, and hand them a rifle if they need it. Not to mention 7.62x54R can take any game in N. America. =D
As awesome as a gun wall looks, dont you think if someone DOES manage to break into your home when your not there that it would be rather easy for them to just take your guns off the wall? You should invest in a big heavy safe, preferably one you can bolt (from the inside) to the wall. and keep just 1 or 2 home defence guns laying around. I wouldnt leave ALL my guns just sitting on a shelf.
if shtf scenario really happened to where you needed that much ammo for some reason, i guarantee your going to get your ass shot before you even use one box.

Ive been asked so many times,(Why do you need so much ammo you cant shoot all that?) When the SHTF it will supply more than just me. Family ,friends, and neighbors will benefit from this stockpile
Well I agree with you 100% TSWHTF one day and I to have a stockpile of ammo, medical supplies, MER's....
Point being is money will be worthless when TSHTF Beans, bullets, and bandaids will be worth alot. I run a military surplus store and I am a gear junky as my friends say.

you know if you really think about it this is vary impractical: first of all if a shtf scenario happened you wouldn’t be able to carry all of that ammo. and if your thinking that you can just defend your house you are dead wrong! the reason being is 1. you could get shot regardless of what guns you have. 2. barricading yourself in your house doesn’t work either once you shoot an intruder the others will just try to burn your house down with you in it. with that in mind i have my plan.

TOO diverse. When you're talking about survival you want everyone shooting the same gun and use the same ammo, so if parts break or they run out of ammo, you just swap it out.
On the cheap, Buy like 5 Mosin Nagant's at $100 a rifle. Ammo is about $0.25 a round, so you can easily get enough ammo for you entire family and friends, and hand them a rifle if they need it. Not to mention 7.62x54R can take any game in N. America. =D

As awesome as a gun wall looks, dont you think if someone DOES manage to break into your home when your not there that it would be rather easy for them to just take your guns off the wall? You should invest in a big heavy safe, preferably one you can bolt (from the inside) to the wall. and keep just 1 or 2 home defence guns laying around. I wouldnt leave ALL my guns just sitting on a shelf.

You sound paranoid. i am a survivalist and i don't need half of what you got. All i need is my 45 acp and tactical shotgun. You got to have the know how and be in shape. And if you have to leave the area in a hurry how you going to haul all that ammo, ONLY IN THE MOVIES.
