  • In my experience shelters and rescue ? places are staffed by know nothing idiots.I no longer donate to them.

  • i just went to a bcspcabc video with Jason Priestly and there are no comments due to the uploader approval. what type of institution/organization funded by public donation does not allow freedom of posting? Hmmm Jason? . a fearful one. one that is Not unbiased but biased and a contradiction in itself. ego runs that place not caring people. "Speak the truth and speak it ever, for it what it will. For he who hide the wrong he did, did the wrong thing still"

  • @1beverleys- .. thank you for your words. nice to hear people are understanding these breeds, and dogs in general, more :) i just wish shelters and rescues would all take the time to learn more.

  • I take on neo mastiffs from rescues and they can be sorted out, these dogs get highly stressed in kennels and dog pounds,i am really sad too have seen this,i am really sorry for you.

  • @pepperjack85 well said. Thank you, to you and all who have posted

  • Money is such a cruel thing!!! Especially when u don't have it. Thank u for your love and compassion for this beautiful dog. I have a corso. They are a very diffacult breed. Sweet with family like nothing else on earth. But strangers, well without 6 years of training, he would be a HUGE LIABILITY!!! Thank for understanding that it IS THE "BREEDER'S" FAULT! They were makin money. A§ holes!

  • DONT EVER DONATE TO THE SPCA THEY ARE CRUEL THEY HAVE ALWAYS KILLED ANIMALS

  • why did you not steal the dog on your walk? I would have said he ran away. What are you going to get charged with theft? if so F*ck it take the charge and know you did the best thing.. People need to stop being scared and put some foot to ass once an a while. Stand up for whats right and be a hero, at least in Tyson eyes. Beauty dog too :( THUMBS UP!

  • Ahh dash please be safe dash is my baby boy dog please oh please

  • I don't want to believe that this actually recently happened behind my back outside the walls of cat post-isolation. I can't believe that they would actually treat animals like tasks and take them the lazy, fruitless way.

  • Blaming the BC SPCA isn't the answer. They don't have any funding from the government and rely completely on donations. I'm sure if they had the money they could take the weeks and months required to rehabilitate every dog and not have to put them down but it isn't going to happen. The blame needs to be placed on the tens of thousands of irresponsible people in BC who abuse and neglect their animals.

  • @mikelav2 that's very true. They do not have training or behaviour programs to rehabilitate.....someone should have called a corso rescue or something. People get this type of dogs n r inexperienced owners its a shame. But lack of space n resources not every animal can be saved..its heartbreaking. It's really the fault of breeders n bad owners....shame shame.

  • they didn't even try to help him in the end... the BCSPCA has broken all of their 5 freedom rules.. 'animal welfare' should be removed from their organization. Just saddening.

  • Thank you for this.

You can see it in his eyes that he knew you loved him.

SPCA definitely needs to change and for the better.

  • So sad for the loss of this beautiful boy. WHEN is the SPCA going to learn about dog behaviour and the effects of a stressful home environment and the stress of being in a pound in isolation????? Dogs like Tyson need time, love, patience, and rehabilitation. The SPCA kills dogs like Tyson all the time, when they should be looking at getting evaluators who take into consideration the dog's past, and his current stressful pound environment, rather than the way they assess so unfairly.

  • Thank you for your incredible courage in telling this story and for sharing your incredible compassion with Tyson in his final hours.
