after using odin to try and get the Galaxy S back to stock rom the phone will not power on at all and Im unable to get the phone into download mode. Will your jig get it into download mode even if the phone will not power on at all?

i actually had to learn to rom through another teacher than flashed his rom through
his bootloader instead of his computer. I don't see the point in commanding you phone
through a proxy like your pc. It is circuitious and takes several extra steps.

But the os was meant for the other i9000 the galaxy s which i believe is for at&t the phone with the home button in the middle. ok have a question for you. I ran all your steps and everything is fine. After the boot animation, the screen goes completely black. Is this normal for it to precess dshevik cache or am i missing something.Also how long is the boot time. I let this thing sit for an hour and its still black. I would say looking at all these comments many of us thought odin had all the necessary( pit fies and so on) to restore our phones back to stock...Why explain odin 3 if we need to search for stock file already incorporated in (odin 1)?????

how do you master wipe with this though? I know in Odin One Click, there is master wipe button to do that. And is a master wipe required to flash a new rom once you restore the phone back to stock?
When the official froyo update gets released for the Captivate can you do a Rom review of it. Just the simple run down. I'm mostly interested in what they blocked or left out. Also what they added not necessarily bloatware.
@MobileTechVideos I only use ODIN one-click to get back to stock before flashing a new rom. Other than that, I don't use at all. If thats all I'm using t for, is ODIN one-click good enough or should I start using ODIN 3?
@MobileTechVideos Obviously you know more about these phones than I do, but I've done a LOT of reading on the ODIN issue and ODIN-1-CLICK has been known to hard brick 1010 and 1012 batch phones - Mine was one (having hard-bricked when trying to flash to stock with 1-Click). I use ODIN3 now and don't have any problems with my new phone. ;)

omg u have no idea how much this helped. i thought i bricked my phone, i called tmobile and ordered a replacement phone then tried this and it worked!!! thanks soooo much... i had no clue where to get the pit and pda files from.... really this video is awesome!

Hello, i have a galaxy s virant i9000m and i was on darky's rom and then i installed One Click Lag Fix after it did its thing it rebooted my phone and it would be stuck on the galaxy s logo and wont boot i have no idea what to do, i followed everything u did in the video and it still dosent boot i can go on downloading mode but not recovery and is there anything i can do to fix it plz reply thank you and the galaxy s logo dosent show i9000m it shows the i9000 model even though it is i9000m

@unbeattable same here with my i9000 international version. nightmare, trying to use odin to flash back firmware, will let you know how i get on. any help from josh etc . . . would be great tho

Josh I ll try to make this as short as possible, Out of all the mods Ive done as a growing novice from Iphone jailbreaking to android mods, your video on flashing back the galaxy vibrant to 2.1 with Odin is awsome and very real its on the money THANK YOU so much.
I reciently updated my vibrant to froyo 2.2 through kies, for some reason i found that the official update froyo kernal is locked so it cant be rooted,But thaniks to you Im flying again . Thank you your the real deal !!!!

I would say looking at all these comments many of us thought odin had all the necessary( pit fies and so on) to restore our phones back to stock...Why explain odin 3 if we need to search for stock file already incorporated in (odin 1)?????
You may be an expert but somethink is missing here

how do you master wipe with this though? I know in Odin One Click, there is master wipe button to do that. And is a master wipe required to flash a new rom once you restore the phone back to stock?

When the official froyo update gets released for the Captivate can you do a Rom review of it. Just the simple run down. I'm mostly interested in what they blocked or left out. Also what they added not necessarily bloatware.

@iffrett No reason to use ODIN for Captivate unless your a developer or into heavy modding and like to flash kernels or modems with it.

@MobileTechVideos I only use ODIN one-click to get back to stock before flashing a new rom. Other than that, I don't use at all. If thats all I'm using t for, is ODIN one-click good enough or should I start using ODIN 3?

@MobileTechVideos Obviously you know more about these phones than I do, but I've done a LOT of reading on the ODIN issue and ODIN-1-CLICK has been known to hard brick 1010 and 1012 batch phones - Mine was one (having hard-bricked when trying to flash to stock with 1-Click). I use ODIN3 now and don't have any problems with my new phone. ;)
