I've done ALL of the TR games (even had a cult following at one time lol) and can tell you that on the Playstation, the adrenaline dodge and the grapple direction jump were the 2 hardest things for me to figure out. Once you've perfected them, the rest gets pretty easy, but I struggled with both of those all the way to the end of the game. Try the grapple in Croft Manor, it will help. ;-) Good luck.
These are shortcuts found mostly for the "speed runners". When TR1 and TR2 came out, some of us got bored waiting for the next game so we started to do things like run a level without killing anything, or getting through a level as fast as we can. Eidos has even implemented this idea in the newer versions of TR with "timed trials".
I watched some other videos and I gotta say: sorry =P, I didn't know about TR speedruns.
PD: I'm still trapped at Damocles, i can't get to the collumns over the swords, can't swing to it X.X
Bye !

what's the point of getting to the doors so quickly if you still got to spend alot of time solving each?
