@violet46 Both are valued the same in the code of points. Some gymnast just find one easier than the other, so it's just a matter of personal preference.
i love how they just assume that she couldn't deal with the pressure, they say these ridiculos things without any research i mean they just ASSUME. she had a SEVERLEY pulled hamstring and she was in such PAIN she was crying i mean these commentors are a bunch of morons!
I would hardly consider Shannon a nervous gymnast. It always seemed that by event finals, her mental focus was a bit off - besides, once you have the all-around, the event titles are nice icing :) Also, she was injured a LOT after the Olympics.
Totally. I even went to USA Gymnastics to fact check you... I guess this just speaks to Shannon's nerves at Nationals. She never really put together a solid showing for those competitions.
And can I just say how hideous that leo is? Blech.
I love how the meets not even on podium!

Hard to believe but this is the only time Shannon won the US National title on Beam.
