  • do u need write a programe to make the robot's path ?

  • @stevencheng1988

No. It "learns" your floor area and remembers where it's been so it covers the entire floor it can access.

  • @honkeetonk203

We're always looking for good, talented people. Go to our website and scroll to the bottom to "Careers at HSN." We have a lot of info about what it's like to work for HSN (great) and online form to complete to apply. Good luck and congrats!

  • I wanna work for HSN especially Home and Electronics! SADLY, im only 15 :/

  • @delliswierd

But you're a great age to start thinking about what type career you'd like. Our hosts and guest experts have a wide variety of educational background. Many started in TV or theater. But others came to us from totally unrelated areas. I'm going to message you a link where you can read about our hosts to give you some ideas. And then you can also read to see what skills we're looking for. Then when you're old enough, we'll look forward to hearing from you :)

  • @HSN Got it! Thanks!

  • @HSN thanks! :)

  • i could make a better 1 if i had the money for research i would make a better 1 and at a low price 2 so every 1 could have 1 and no more brooms thumbs up if u agree with me

  • if the world ran like roomba etc backt hen every 6 months or so it would stop

  • I had a feeling my robot was misbehaving when I was not home, I set up a video camera and got the proof that I needed. Beware, this technology is sending your personal info with audio and video to the gov't. It also hacks into wireless modem w/o your knowledge...

  • @agerolimatos

    :)

  • omg I saw it go for the pool and I was thinking that it was going to jump into the pool :P

  • You knnow i really like how when it got stuck they pand of of it haah just saying

  • "...it eats up. It literally will eat your garage floor. It will eat it. Do you understand? It will destroy it." @ 5:06 lol

  • Thanks for your demo!Is the DIRT DOG HSN available in Australia! Many thanks Kathy Ward

  • On the first one, it missed a spot, and that bugs me! :P

  • @ben100014

The iRobot cleaning robots are programmed to run patterns across a surface repeatedly until all areas have been cleaned. In our demo, there probably wasn't time for it to run its complete cycle. And this is an older model we sold several years ago. I suspect that the newer models are even better.

  • @HSN Yeah, you are right, I did see it completely sweep up all of the dirt! I ended up buying it for my garage. Do you know my uncle who works at HSN by any chance, Ed Schwartz? I know it is a random question, but I am just curious. :)

  • @ben100014

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting your uncle. Doe he work in St. Pete? Is he by chance on on-air guest? If so, then I at least know who you're talking about.

    HSN Shopping Diva

  • @HSN He has been working at HSN for about 15 years I believe and yes, he does work in St. Pete!

  • Why don't you just hoover instead of relying on robots? We're faster, smarter

  • Notice after 2 minutes, the robots keep missing one patch next to where they starter, and when they move onto next floor, the price window covers up the bit's the robot missed!

  • whats the price?

  • @dodouli 129

  • those robots and make us lazy slumps :/

  • @zilvinasklp Nah, cleaning is boring and it makes us lazy afterwards, people skip exercising because they have to clean.

  • convenient cut when the bot gets stuck under the table

  • This is slicker than snot on a chickens lip

  • this robot's IQ seems low.

  • it takes how long to get that dust ? 3 min or so ? with a dust mop...... just one swish out of the garage and done less than 30 seconds lol

  • so? the robot cleans more stuff and u don't have to do it and it cleans the stuff u missed with your own EYES!!!!!!

  • lol ok

  • the idea us to set it and leave

  • u r weird

  • Nope. you can get it on iRobot's online store also.

  • someone knows what it doing when confronted with a piece of shit.

my dogs makes shit on floor it can clean?

  • I have one and I love the thing.

  • battery life gets shorter and shorter and shorter...

  • u can change it

  • 5:54 It does it Uh-Ficiently... LOL!

  • My Roomba ssems to obey the "3 Laws of Robotics". Especially the rule that it will not clean a room if it might harm a human....lol.

  • this thing will take MUCH longer to clean up than the good old broom! What takes me a minute or so, will take this thing about half an hour!

  • lol what the fucking "i-robot technology" xD

  • the amazing thing is..that they don't compare it to a person doing the same job. Or an actual dirty floor!

  • I own 2 roombas and 1 scooba: YES these machines are slower than humans, but you don't need to do it! My home gets vacuumcleaned EVERY DAY (due to the timer/shedule) and I'm NEVER there to do it! I come home in a clean house... that's the great thing about robots... slower, yes... but they work while you are away, and you don't have to do it... who cares if it takes 1 or 2 hours to clean my house with a robot when I'm away for at least 8hours a day?

  • Hey, don't get me wrong! I'm really for these robos..but Im still waiting for a house cleaning robot that is just or near efficient and effective as a human. I'm guessing that going to be a while! /:) Go on robo techs! Keep developing!

  • I'm sorry. I had misinterpreted your comment.

I understand your desire for more, but as a designer myself I've learned there is no use in waiting for 'that sudden point'. Everything moves slowly, needs time to adapt etc.

  • Honestly I'm VERY impressed that the roomba's don't look the way they do and not like a 'humanoid with a vacuumcleaner in hand'. This is the mental picture that most people have of robots. It's old school sci-fi of course. Funny in a way, but not reality.

  • Basicly I'm found to see that roomba design has grown a lot and has evolved in an archetypical shape. That shape just makes so much sense! Just wondering how the scooba will evolve: I would really love to see a weekly shedule possibility, with an automatic tank refill of some kind... That would be so groovy.

  • For now, I'll keep telling people about adopting the robot-attitude. Most people laugh but don't get it. "well your washing machine is ALSO a robot, and sure it doesn't walk around, but it's the same, not???

  • it takes like a tenth of the time to actully clean it up

  • girotube, dude, chill the eff out!

If people want to use these, why does it set you off into fits of apoplexy?

Perhaps they have an interest, or curiosity, or maybe just some old fashioned wonder...the world could use a lot more of all three.

  • Uhmmm...yeah, I work for them...sure...anyone who has an opposing opinion to you must be suspect, and part of the evil iRobot Empire, secretly subjecting the denizens of civilized nations to compulsory 'laziness'...what a turn-minion.

You are using a debate tactic called 'ad hominem'-look it up if you don't get it.

    It is not very classy.

  • its slow!!! stupid thing

  • Is this some kind of knockoff version of the roomba?

  • The Dirt Dog is made by iRobot - the same company who makes the Roomba (vacuuming interior floors), Scooba (washing floors), Verro (cleaning pools), and Looj (cleaning gutters). But it's designed for cleaning patios, decks, garage floors, etc. Hope this helps.

    HSN Shopping Diva

  • lol, it looks retarded bumping into the edges. But I like it, i already bought one. it works great

  • this is like the roomba but without a docking station?

  • you can buy a docking station for it

  • The Roomba has a vacuum and sweeper brushes.

The Dirt Dog has bigger sweeper brushes and a more powerful sweep motor, but no vacuum.

  • Avelible on website

  • would've taken less than a minute to sweep that stuff ;3

great for leaving to run while you're out though!

  • Yeah?! Wouldn't It be better to clean up before we go out!

    Cheers

  • He or it is dumb

  • LMAO..lazy mans version of a hoover..doesn't even do a good job !! Get a Dyson !!

  • Dyson is shit, rated as "poor" by consumer reports, doesn't pick up pet hair very well.

  • kirby is better, MUCH BETTER but roomba and dirt dog gets stuf u miss like under the bed, etc.............

  • this damn thing was in korea for 75 dollers!

  • poco eficaz pero seguro que con el tiempo mejoran

  • Also advertised on Ebay, here in the UK they are relatively expensive.....

  • Also advertised on Ebay, here in the UK it is more expensive, surprise surprise!
