  • Tesla would be proud!

  • and mankind finally invented fire!

  • lol wats gunna happen to his phone....

  • He's a Tesla Trooper!

  • 0:28 GUITARRA ELECTRICA!

  • rrrrrrrrrrr ao.... lol

  • I bet the suit gets hot though if he lets the arc flow through a single spot for too long. Burn the shit out of him quick.

  • Awesome, he looks like a guy from outer space

  • That's awesome!

Is that some kind of Faraday suit?

  • Sort of not really. Instead of canceling out the effects of discharging electricity on the inside of the suit. It simply gives the electrons a lower resistance path to ground then his body so he just does not get shocked. A Faraday cage/suit would be designed to eliminate the effects entirely and uses copper mesh. If he has any electronics in his pockets they are probably toast.

  • The suit works on tesla coils because of the ultra high frequency (20,00Hz+) of the electricity.

Look up "skin effect". Only works on metals, not human flesh.

  • skin effect is immaterial here.. I was responding to Perrickan who asked if his suit was some kind of Faraday type and that answer is no. Then I elaborated about why he is not being electrocuted and that reason is the suit providing a lesser resistance path to ground. Nothing to do with skin effect.

  • Not sure what you are implying about skin effect, but if your saying he would not be electrocuted if he were to remove the suit and walk into range of the arc you are dead wrong. The problem there is not "skin effect" but the nature of our nerve cells themselves, with such high freq discharges our nerve cells do not pick up the shock as "bad" so they do not rely a warning to the brain. A novice would then think they were not being electrocuted when in fact they were.

  • Read the section called "The 'skin effect' and high frequency electrical safety" on the wiki page of skin effect to clear up the deadly misconception. DO NOT allow yourself to be hit by an arc of a high voltage tesla coil.
