come on Brian, how is it possible that the responders from 911 "going in, they knew they would not come out" knew they wouldn't come out? really, I doubt that most if not all of the rescuers hought a lot more positively about helping and making it out rather than saying, I'm going in, but I know I am not coming out. Brian you are capable of better wording than negative speak not based on facts.
Brian Williams and the NBC writers who script the nightly news are far more intelligent than whoever put this video together...so, enough of this elementary video-editing
first of all, he did not insult our troops. secondly, even if he did it does not imply that he does not appreciate his freedoms. the great majority of people who have defended out rights and liberties in the past 150 years were not soldiers but domestic activists.
Who comes up with this trash? He was complimenting the troops by saying that they are just as dedicated as the insurgents. Also, the founding fathers were traitors to the British crown and had they lost the revolution would have most definitely been drawn and quartered, entrails burned, head piked and had their pieces shipped to the four corners of the empire.
the truth was our Revolutionary War guys were considered terrorists by the crown. "we must all hang together or assuredlywe shall all hang seperately" said Benjamin
Speaking of misquoting people, please point out where I said "Brian Williams hates America." Those are your words, not mine. You didn't quote me out of context, you just made up the quote out of thin air!
I provided context, you just don't like the context!
OK, you win. Let's give the country back to the noble Native Americans. Then they can go back across the Bering Strait and give the country back to the Iron Age Native Americans, if they have any descendants!
By the way, slavery and the plantations existed BEFORE the founding fathers, genius. In fact, the first and best practitioners of slavery were the Egyptians, on a continent called AFRICA, where slavery is STILL PRACTICED today. The US was the first major country to end slavery, at the cost of 1/2 million dead in the Civil War. Brush up on your history, and don't get it from Ward Churchill!
TAKING one's life is commiting suicide. US troops don't do that. They may die at the hands of the enemy during a risky mission, but they don't strap bombs to themselves or kill themselves in order to kill others.
Ah, yes. The Noam Chomsky school of History. In your view America is no better than any other country, in fact it's worse! Thanks for revealing your true views!
I'm a conservative who, as you prob do, think that the mainstream media is a leftist pulpit, but the first of the two clips doesn't seem nbegative. I felt like he was saying that we have brave people willing to sacrafice. Anyway, you're right about Chumpski.
They weren't TAKING their own lives to KILL others, they were RISKING their own lives to SAVE others. Other than that Brian was right on with his analogy. In other words, his moral compass is badly broken.
When commenting on the possibility that the President of Iran was involved in the taking of American hostages during the Iranian revolution, his response was "What would it matter?" and compared him to our founding fathers.
The Iranian revolution brought repression, not freedom. Brian Williams can't tell the difference, and neither can you, apparently.
Brian Williams did NOT say "our troops are passionate defenders of our nation and beliefs." When Chris Matthews said the terrorists lived among us, got to know us and STILL wanted to kill themselves in order to kill civilians, Brian responded "we have guys on our team like that, too."
I know he was trying to compliment our troops and first repsonders, but you don't do it by comparing them to terrorists! How can YOU not understand that?

What Brian Williams said was horribly offensive, unpatriotic, and true.

Anyone who can't understand what Williams was saying, and thought he was calling our guys "terrorists" is an uneducated moron.

The only difference between taking to kill and risking to save is the result.
