This song has an almost archaic feel to it. The Tower of Babel, The Colossus of Rhodes, thousands of Triremes out at sea, great palaces of Sumerian and Persian kings, the great pharaoahs of old, ancients majestic cities, temples to the Gods, ect, is all i can think about. Ahhh, I love it...

Just download the Age of Empires Gold Edition ISO from a Torrent site, mount it with Daemon Tools, then go into iTunes and rip the audio as if it was an actual CD.

play the normal aoe1 without expansion by clicking the helmet

with the red plume (in the installation folder) and this music

will be ingame

age of empires is the reason why im studying history at the university right now! u can acctually relay on there history and play computer but still have good grades! ofc if ur not so in to what the varied civilizations did in age of empires...ur intrests for history is none :P

RU talking about the gold edition or collectors edition of AOE ? My friend has got an edition with both AOE 1+2 games with their expansions plus a 'compliation soundtrack' and yes it (mostly) a heap of steaming dog poo!! So it seems they have released YET another version or I might just be losing count! The original tracks are the best..

The music is on the CD itself as audio tracks. Put the CD into any CD player and you'll see - the first track will be garbage, while the other ones will have your music. Use a CD ripping tool to get the tracks.

hmmmm.......the only thing i know is that even if you play aoe with the aoe gold edition cd it wont give you all the songs from aoe. so im guessing you need the actual aoe cd to have these tracks. thats what happend to me

Yea I just installed AoE because I liked the music a long time ago when I played the demo and the music sounded different. I went to check and yeap they are all MIDIs. MIDIs sound different on each sound card. So now I can't play AoE with the original tracks that I used to like on the demo because the ones that play now are not the ones I USED to like.

I used to play it on an old computer with integrated sound card now I got an extreme gamer, completely different.

MIDI is actually a set of instructions on when certain musical notes play, which is why it is only used for synthesized tracks like this.
