@THELDSLIFE - nice message man. Already there are stories of wealthy countries which have had various setbacks (usually natural disasters), and whose "well-off" citizens have starved to death. Why do we not see the real possibility of panic [and riots] in our own cities? The grocery trucks will not make it I promise you!

How good will we feel when, instead of saving some food for a rainy day, we buy our toys, but then to see our children and neighbors desperately claw for food!

Not a fail either due to some predictions are based on conditions. If certain conditions are not met, then certain things may not come to pass.

Also not church doctrine. The Diary of Joseph Smith is not found in our canon... thus, is not counted as "Church Doctrine" ... anything else you'd like to be straightened out on or not?

Gee, that's interesting, if those LDS leaders were not so committed in taxing their followers in the form of tithing they just might be a bit better off. and even though for those who have paid tithing, it didn't prevent them from loosing their houses in the mortgage fallout in America. and they don't get much financial assistance from their leaders either, what do those leaders demand from their followers, blood from rocks, their counsel is becoming ridiculous.

@billymeier182 Wrong. You don't have to pay tithing, though you are commanded to. Your not kicked out of the church for not paying tithing. Its not a business. However, you can recieve assistance from the church if its in their dealings, depending on the ward i believe.

What helps people to lose their homes is by not living within their means and "over-purchasing" or having NO back up plan for those things. God sends down rain upon the just and the unjust just. Those caught unawares of the pitfalls that befall EVERYONE who are unprepared for them. Their counsel is only ridiculous until it's 100% present.
