  • @TheBluePearlGirl I know I can never change your mind, but let me say, when you make a mistake.. remember never to forget it or allow anyone to forget it. Remember that you must always pay for your mistake and remember that will always be wrong, no matter how much you want to put it right. Okay! Never EVER allow anyone to forget your mistake and never berate or argue with those who tell you that your mistake is irredeemable. Anytime you make mistake, remember it is your wish that nobody forgets!

  • Thanks for posting this. I never got to see the funeral; I think I was either at school or at work.

  • A very sad day, the saddest part, for me, is the face of the Prince of Wales. God Bless you sir.

  • Is the crown atop the purple pillow on the coffin hers? Did she wear it during her reign or is it part of the crown jewels?

  • @szqsk8 You can see more by going to : englishmonarchs.co.uk/crown_jewels.htm)

Crown made for Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. This contains the legendary Koh-i-noor, or Mountain of Light diamond. Indian in origin, its history can be traced to the thirteenth century.

  • @stellarworker

Why does your link say "EnglishMonarchs"....the Queen mother was Scottish, and its a United Kingdom of Scotland and England, started by a Scottish king whome united them, King James.

The monarchy is British, that means people of the British Isles, their Scottish/English/Welsh/Cornish.

  • @phr34kyy

Thankyou for making this clear. Its really important. The monarchy is BRITISH

  • @rightmoment

    My pleasure.

  • @phr34kyy It's a link. That is where the info came from.

  • @phr34kyy It's a link. That is where the info came from.

Even though the Queen Mother was Scottish, she is one of the ENGLISH MONARCHS!!!!!

  • @phr34kyy A United Kingdom of Scottish and English - maybe in 1707 my dear.

  • @szqsk8 It's the Imperial State Crown and is one of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom.

  • @szqsk8 It's not part of the Crown Jewels, though it was made by the Crown Jewellers especially for her at her coronation. She often wore it as a circlet, with the arches and orb on top detached. It's made of platinum set with diamnds including the Koh-i-Noor diamond.

  • Could anyone please tell me where I can find the names of the music played by the military bands during the procession?

    Thank you in advance.

  • A wonderful woman who can be defined in the words Graceful, Brilliant, Lovely, and most of all A wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. I believe she was the Queen's best friend over the years. As a american I deeply respect Her Majesty and all of her long years even though I am not British. God Bless Her. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  • Probably one of the best Queen's in history.

  • What is the funeral march called? I wouldn't want to detract from this beautiful ceremony, but I think it's the same as the one played in Godfather II.

  • dimblbey looks so young

  • she always had a beautiful smile did the queen mother moreso in her later years :) rest in peace Your majesty

  • You are missed Your majesty. There will be one like you ever again.

I'm watching this now again and it still brings tears to my eye.

Eternal rest grant unto Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth oh Lord. And let the Perpetual Light shine upon her. May she rest in peace, Amen.

  • @hawchubby39 I agree so much with your comment and prayer.

  • Does anyone know whether the theme tune was created by the BBC especially? Can you buy it?

  • She was something else - something magical. She kept Britain together in those horrid dark years during the war. We owe her everything!!

  • God Save Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. May she forever remain in heaven with the angels.

  • Lovely theme music by the BBC - wonderfully regal.

  • I never had the opportunity to meet her; she was a family member of mine, because my grandfather was Tsar Ferdinand I of Bulgaria and my mother was an illegitimate offspring of him. So I am a royalist by birth and I say thank you for posting this row of videos. She was such a nice lady and young at heart despite of her age. May she rest in peace

  • Lovely theme music

  • Britain's best of the best. Sleep well, beloved Elizabeth, and delight in the wonderful adventure that awaits you with your beloved Bertie, our noble King George.

  • May she rest forever with the angels and saints in Heaven. She was truly a shining example of grace and charm.

  • Not being disrespectful but why have you been crying all day, she's been dead for years now? *hug* if you're still upset.

  • @RoyalistUK Are you serious???????????????????

  • @RoyalistUK she was not the queen

  • Where was 'My home' played in this part? The Irish lament played by the pipes and drums was 'Oft in the stilly night'. "My home" and the "Mist Covered Mountains" are Scottish laments.

  • Wonderfull.. But where is the queen ?

    I can't see her.

  • By tradition, the females of the Royal Family wait at Westminster Hall for the coffin.

  • Beautiful documentary. Thank you.

  • This video is sad make the Queen Mother be happy and be blessed by God in Heaven. She had a long happy life and hopefully Queen Elizabeth II have a long happy life too.

  • For crying out loud - can't the commentator just shut up for 30 seconds? It's so annoying. We have eyes. We can see what's happening, We don't need him constantly rambling on and on and on. A brief description of the main participants and what is about to happen will do - then shut the hell up!

Thank you - rant over lol.

  • lmfao

  • God Bless Her she was a Lady God Save The Queen !!!!!!!

  • Spent most the day in tears watching this... thanks for putting up

I Will always love her and respect her

    God Save The Queen

  • I never had a chance to see this because I am from the United States. RIP, Your Majesty!

  • A wonderful tribute to a womand who gave her life of love and service to her country.

  • @artbabee Yes, you are quite right.

I am wondering what else could she do?

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • Can anyone please tell me the name of the song that they play at the beginning of the procession, starting about 8:11?

  • If you find out, EmperorTab, please let me know!

  • Mendelssohn Trauermarsch, Op. 62, No. 3,

  • Many thanks, lordadmiral! Now if I could only find a suitable marching band recording.

  • Thank you very much. I was asking myself the same question. The march was also played at Sir Winston's procession in 1965.

  • She was a fine lady. May she rest in peace.

  • Can any one please tell me if the music the BBC use at the start of this video has been releasd yet? If it has, what is it called? It's so moving and sets the scene perfectly to such a sad day.

  • Spent most the day in tears watching this... thanks for putting up

  • wat a sad day in history

  • I wouldn't be surprised if the crown on top of the coffin is a fake. I wouldn't want a priceless piece of history out and about. What do you think?

  • Absolute rubbish! When we say goodbye to a one of our greats we do it properly!!

  • Are you american? there are enough yanks criticising every single patriotic english video on you tube. NO WAY. that's the real deal diamonds and all.

  • I meant no disrespect. Yes, I am an American.

Pardon my ignorance but I just thought they wouldn't bring out the real crown which is priceless. I thought for security reasons they would have the real one in a vault.

I love all the pomp of the royal family.

  • no offense taken. On such a big occasion it would definitely be the real thing. The soldiers around it are real soldiers we dont just have soldiers who fight and soldiers who stand outside buckingham palace these huys may well have been in afghanistan a week before would protect any such intrusions.

  • I might just be a dullard, but does anyone know the name of the first march played by the band?

  • I have the funeral coverage on video at home; however, my tape ran out at the end, and I missed the most emotional part of the coverage; when David Dimbleby said:- "...As the royal family return to Buckingham Palace, they return without the presence of a lady who came from a different time; they may be forgiven for feeling.. a little lonely; without her reassuring presence. From westminster, good afternoon." Then they played the opening tune with pictures again. Can you please uplodad this?
