  • umm i have one question instead of using yellow could i use black instead with pink thnx

  • @dcars5 You can use any colors you want. It's entirely up to you. Changing color won't change the pattern.

  • WOW :)

  • Nvm u waz on my ipod ad couldnt see the instructions.

  • Can u plz post the instruction under the tags.

  • But.. 65 inches means 1.65 cm it's taller than me, is that possible?

  • @tvilaplana If you have smaller wrists maybe 55 inches but yes, that's the average amount. The full 65 gives a result of about 6 inches plus ties.

  • I thought the directions were gonna be in the description box ... ?

  • @vassweetheart They are...

    "

    PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS:

(Note: For EVEN numbered rows leave out the first and last strings.)

    ☼ ROW 1

    fk bk fk fk

    ☼ ROW 2

    fk fk fk"

Etc. is all in the description with other things like length and setup.

  • How long do you do the strings before folding them at the beginning?

  • @BethsterX Most bracelets for an average wrist will be about 65 inches before folding, 32.5 after. If you have tiny wrists go down about 5 inches.

  • my sis is a beginner and she can make the penguin!

  • Ok thank you

  • Do you know how to make a pacman bracelet? If so can you make a tutorial?

  • @727nina I've never made one but I can follow any pattern... others have asked and it is on the list but I just get so many requests it's hard to get to them all. I'll see what I can do but no promises...

You may want to check my video on "how to read patterns on friendship-bracelets(dot)net" and see if you can figure it out. There are pacman patterns there for sure.

  • Thanks so much for posting!

  • weird i always here u breathe so loud lol

  • @kittykatscratchfun It's because I'm very close to the camera... about three inches. I might as well have the cam in my mouth. On top of that I have breathing issues / throat swelling so I'm loud because of that as well.

  • Love how you explained it:). x

  • Thanks that was very helpful!!;)

  • Can you use two colors for ribbons? First one pink then second one another colour.

  • @Tinaxoxo100 There is only two strings for the ribbons... so the only way you'd be able to do that is either A. Get gradient string to get a 'changing' effect (OR) B. learn how to do the multicolor alpha and use the 'string substitution' method.

  • @Tinaxoxo100 you can use solor chaning string also

  • what kinda string do you use???

  • @segrovesbaby Video description.

  • Helped out so much because people always want me to make these for them...... So know i can! Thanks again!!!!!!!!

  • @jb1doglover You're welcome. Have fun.

  • OMG soo pretty! Yesterday is when I wrote that comment but I felt like doing it today and it turned out gorgeous!

  • This is really really pretty, I have been watching your videos for a looong time. I made a cardboard loom, oh gosh its soo helpful!!

  • do you by any chance know how to make a queen crown pattern? I'm looking all over and can't find a video for it :(

  • @kahlangrl20 Crowns are pretty 'straight lined' in shape so you may want to look on Friendship-Bracelets(dot)net for an alpha pattern. If you use a regular pattern the edge will end up looking like a zipper.

  • i made a key chain out of this! it turned out bad i messed it up!

  • @vikishmoo11 Takes some practice. You could try searching 'cardboard loom' and use the video to make a simple string holder so you can keep track of them better.

  • i know your feeling really sick and all so you dont hhave to respond but it would be great if you did. okay my first breast cancer fish thing turned out great nice and tight and looks great but everysince i started doing the second fishy the strings are like loose and stuff and the other strings keep getting in the way and its just really annoying please help me! btw hope u feeel better :)

  • @0123micheleannprice Try using the cardboard loom. Just YT search "Cardboard loom"

  • I was wondering if it's possible to make a moustache bracelet for movember :)

  • @NovemberBabyCheer08 Check my alpha pattern tutorials. You should be able to look on Friendship-Bracelets(dot)net for 'mustache' and find an alpha pattern to follow. It'd look a lot better than a regular friendship bracelet pattern and would be a whole lot easier.

  • Ok...ive been very sick for a long time kinda like you...but we havent figured out what it is yet cuz im poor and cant find help..but anyway...i wanted you to know that you are not alone and your vids give me the strength to fight the pain on those many nights I cant sleep..thank you so much!

  • @MrCorvetteLover I'm sorry you're also feeling the effect of long term illness... it's not easy I know first hand. I'm glad I could help keep your mind off it for a little while... hope you figure your issues out eventually. No one deserves feeling sick always. =/

  • I LOVE YOU BRACELETS :) <3

  • GAHHH :/ I followed the written directions only, and my bracelet had the ribbon shape with only one tail! :/

  • @gottojump Sounds like you goofed somewhere... either missed a step/made a single wrong knot or set up the bracelet wrong at the start of the bracelet.

  • can you make a black and white checkerboard patten video?

  • love that u write down the steps!!!

  • you make such great videos. thanks a bunch :)

  • can you PLAESE make a peace sign bracelet?

  • @hehesuckas Already did. Just search for it.

  • @BeyondBracelets thank you!

  • can i justpay you to mkakeme this lol

  • @mangaismything I don't make macrame bracelets much anymore because my carpal tunnel... but if you really want it I'll charge $12 for it. Free shipping so long as you're in the US.

  • I have a question. I need some really good Halloween bracelet patterns. Could you help me out???.

  • @JumpingPeanuts1 friendship-bracelets(dot)net and search the keyword Halloween.

  • WOW! I do not think I'm reedy for this quite yet- but it's so pretty I'll make one for my grandma on her birthday

I'll watch some of ur beginner vids and get back to this... Btw thx a lot for putting like the level of difficulty in the title that's really helpful

  • took me twenty minutes to finish one ribbon :(

  • @mofobaby44 Yeah, these can take a bit of time.

  • @ummhi14 I've never made one actually... but I know how to.

  • thanks now i can make a bracelet for my aunt she toatally suports breast cancer

  • please make a pattern with a pony on it!

  • what is the exact name of the string you use?

  • @blueberry6848 Six Stranded Embroidery Floss. DMC brand.

If you're asking the color code- I have no idea.

  • I new to friendship bracelets but I wanted to make this so bad that I printed the instructions, lay out my threads and started the video. I watched a completed row, paused the video, used markers to make little dots beside the row on the printed instruction to match your thread layout at the end of each row. Then I would do the row. My threads were in the same position as yours. Eventually I saw my ribbon emerge. Thanks for you excellent demo and verbal instruction. I want to wear this in Oct.

  • @sewblue2 Aw, well I'm glad you were able to figure it out and follow along. Congrats.

  • thanks for redesigning this! I didn't like what they had either and I was having a lot of trouble with it! I love your tutorials!

  • @theTardisrules You're welcome. I actually asked Steffe (The owner of FBnet) to create a generator that will cater to "angled" patterns. The generator is great for 1212 patterns but for chevrons and slanty stuff starting with a straight line of knots makes it more complicated than it needs to be.

He replied and said it was a great idea and it is possible to do so who knows. Soon I might have inspired a new generator on the site to make it easier to create chevrons and other angled patterns. =3

  • @BeyondBracelets That would be awesome if he made that ^_^

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!!!! glad for the "redesign" so to speak. sometimes patterns are just hard to follow...you make it so easy! WOOT WOOT

  • I subbed so now it OVER 600 :P

  • Thanks for the tutorial!

  • How can I alter the colors of the fish. Like add another color..Let's say purple. So it'll be purple, pink, purple, pink for the fish?

  • @DubbleBubble20 Replace the background color strands. Check the description and replace anything in the '1-yellow' places for background and anything in the 2-pink will stay pink... unless you mean stripes in which case using a pink in the background as well will take away from the pink ribbons.

  • What is your favorite pattern on fb.net?

  • @catzeye510 I don't know really. I don't really have a favorite pattern.

  • do you think you could make a spiral bracelet? if you know how to make one ?

  • @russianfunniesxoxo You have to be more specific. Pictures in my inbox help much more than words. People call bracelets all different things so I never know what people ask for unless I see. To me a spiral could be a Chinese staircase or the "wave" looking pattern that is woven.

  • @BeyondBracelets aw im so sorry!

  • i think it would be much easier if you showed u making the whole bracelet but not sped up. after the first design i had trouble with just the written directions and had to start all over. very helpful tho!!

  • @TrueBlueLuva I can't make a whole bracelet on cam. I have carpal tunnel and am in pain after just the first set... I teach now because I can't really make full bracelets anymore unless I push myself.

  • @BeyondBracelets

It is. Can't really help it, which is sad. Well, that's sweet. :3

  • It is. :( And I'm so sorryyyyy! I hope all goes well for your grandfather. :/

  • @brace1ets It's fine. Loss is a part of life unfortunately and I've been okay about it. It was hard at first but I've come to accept it and just try to keep his memory alive when and where I can. Music was a big part of his life so it is always nice to listen to songs that remind me of him.

  • i meant my friend's mom has cancer. not my mom. i would literally cry whiles making this bracelet if she had cancer. anyways, stalker, whatever... (: number one fan.

  • @brace1ets Yeah... cancer is a rough thing. I know this all too well. (I never had it, but my father passed away from it three years ago and my grandfather was just diagnosed with it about two months ago.) So yeah... cancer is not fun. Not fun at all.

  • [: mom has cancer. i want to make it for her. *scavanges for pink and white thread* okay. (: thankss! love your personal stalker. just kidding. i like your videos, therefore i must comment.

  • how old are you.?

  • @webkinzchik322 I'm 23 years old.

  • @BeyondBracelets oh i was jw and kool and also your really talented for being ill..

  • @webkinzchik322 Sickness doesn't affect talents... The only thing being sick affects is how energetic you are when you try to follow through with that talent.

  • @BeyondBracelets thats kinda wat i meant because i saw the one comment that said you are sometimes in pain while doing them and thats why you cant do a job that is from 9-5 cuz you would be in alot of pain but like all of your tutorials are really kool so plz keep making them

  • @webkinzchik322 Oh... well I try to make the videos on my good days only.

You can really tell when I feel bad by the quality of my voice. Sometimes I sound energetic and other times I sound like I got hit by a mack truck. I like doing the tutorials because making so many knots messes with my carpal tunnel bad... but if I only have to do one 'section' of it to teach it is over before I actually feel much pain. Longer patterns are much more difficult though... that's why I never do huge patterns.

  • Ohmigosh thanks a million I've been hunting for this for AGES!!

  • @chiejohinna You're very welcome.

  • @MegTheSnowboardchick Hello...

  • GREAT VIDEO. could you please show avideo doing the symbol horazontally instead on vertically

  • @JCAhockeySIS Yeah, I guess I could. I'll add it to the to-do list.

  • could you take and recreate this pattern? (the circle of blue pattern?)

  • @lashyon I'm not sure what you mean, little blue boxes without a tail?

  • @BeyondBracelets have you seen the circles of blue on the link off of fb (dot)net? well if not that's cool just like circles basically... but they're hollow... so it's like o's but they have to be circles not boxy i wish I could link you lol

  • @lashyon Well, send me the link in my inbox if you can, if not a pattern number will work too. =P

  • thank you so much.and i made this bracelet for my teacher who got breast cancer...she was so happy :-)

  • @soraamayu Aw, well I'm glad she liked the bracelet.

  • this bracelet would look sooo nice if you wore this to a cancer walk, or event regarding supporting cancer!

  • @linny310 Yeah, they can be made in a spectrum of colors and stand for pretty much anything from "cancer" to "support our troops" since it all depends on the color choices.

  • @linny310 Im totally making one to wear for tomorrow because im volunteering at a Relay for Life event :D haha

  • omg i love this bracelet, thanks for posting it. :)

  • just wonderin can you do any thing to fix a bracelet that the string snaped off?

  • @REPLPP101 Go to my Multi-Color alpha tutorial and see if you can use the same method for attaching new colors.

  • thank you i was making some bracelets and i was almost done when it snapped

  • @REPLPP101 I'm guessing you were using craft thread? I used that stuff once or twice but by the end of the bracelet it ends up wearing down and causing weak points... hate craft thread with a passion. Haha.

  • I have a question, when you're done what do you do with the knot thats on top? is that a part of the bracelet, do you use it to make tie it together or..?

  • @yoeitsjoe24 Look up my video "Two Ways To Start & Finish Your Bracelet" it covers two methods and how to tie them on.

  • This is the best ribbon pattern tutorial I've found;) thank you for posting it

  • This is great! I hope you get some sleep!

  • @coolcatcosta Haha, me too! The sandman just doesn't know where I live it seems!

  • i subbed

    ur awsome

  • @xobracelets Thinking about it now I could have simplified this tutorial even more.

I might re-do it when I'm not sleep deprived- but thanks!

  • @BeyondBracelets you don't need to :)

i understood and im makig it right now

  • you are effing awesome!!!! You inspire me to make bracelets. Hope you feel better <3.

  • This is really amazing, going to make one soon :)

thank you for such a nice tutorial :)

  • @PrincessJessCat Good luck with making one!

I think next I'll make a tutorial for the same pattern but done horizontally along the bracelet. I was going to do it last night but since I was so tired this video took 3 tries because I kept goofing on it.

  • @BeyondBracelets yeah, i think that would be cool too! :)

  • you're really amazing. Do you know that? And get well soon. :D

  • @slugBuTtxXx D'aw. Thank you. <3

  • hope youre better :)

    and a nice patern!

  • @TheMsSingapore Thank you. ♥
