  • Nice Nice Nice

  • the 52's were brilliant when Fred kept his gob shut

  • @davethestores I agree but I do like his sound in Channel Z

  • These are the girls of the U.S.A!!!!!

  • The forgot to mention Beatrice.

  • Definitely like this group and started working on this song last weekend on guitar. I'm definitely a beginner, but I enjoy playing (or trying to play) songs I like (of groups I like!).

  • @luishenrique450 damn straight. first time I ever heard the song. Escamilla was my favorite BMX'er back in the late 90's/early 00's.

  • nice, so nice

    fuk

  • Seen them 2 time they rocked the house!!!!

  • Great song by a great group......

  • ;DLIGHTFUL TRaCK. Takes me back. This band played the theme of my life 83-96.

  • :D love this song

  • .., well, the principal girls, anyway. It was never intended to be an exhaustive list.

  • 52 girls makes my mangina sopping wet!!!

  • And Jaaaaaaaack- jackie O-O-O-O!

  • Cracking good song!

  • i love the subtleties in the guitar. ricky wilson was seriously cool. thanks for the cool jams man.

  • I love this group!

  • If you can listen to this without wanting to bob your head from side to side...well...you have better self control than I do. Or the "Charlie Brown" move (bob head twice to the left, then twice to the right) in time with the beat. GO 70's FLOWER POWER!

  • IT'S SO hard for me to NOT get up and just start jumping up and down when i listen to this song...and damn i'm 49! I guess that effect will never go away? lol

  • @ lyonslaforet. According to Wiki Lennon hadnt written anything for many many yrs. then after hearing "Rock Lobster" at a night club he was in he immeadiately phoned Yoko and told her to get the guitars out cos he wanted to get back into writing again.

  • ...and Hazel and Mavis.

  • Soulwax used this for one of their remixes!

  • Ginger, think's she is Mary-Ann, and, Mary-Ann, think's she's Ginger! Gilligan!

  • Ginger, think's she is Mary-Ann, and, Mary-Ann, think's she's Ginger!

  • OK, I'm gonna play this for my daughter and tell her that men all over the world will be naming you today if you let yourself be a notch in a bedpost.

Who'd have thought that B-52s would be parental role models?

  • Why did you cut that barking sound when they say we are the girls of the USA. It's supposed to be arf, arf,arf arf, arf after that. People are so uptight nowadays, could their be a uncomfotable truth in that verse. That's what gives the song total character. Just one man's opine.

  • While I now listen to this album on cd, I still have the original album, which I bought in 1980...it`s completely unplayable, now lol Just LOVE B52`s!!! :-)

  • @rudeger66 I still have the original 8 track tape. Don't know when I bought it, but it's been a while ago. I downloaded this album on a torrent long ago and since I have computer hooked to a decent stereo, I don't listen to the 8 track anymore. However, back in the day, the 8 track player in my Ford Torino served it's purpose.

  • @clintonearlwalker Get you laid?

  • @RandallFlaggNY Well, it didn't really get me laid, but I played bass in the jazz band in college, I could do a decent rendition of "Rock Lobster". Maybe that's what got a red haired flute player from the jazz band to spend some time in the back seat of the Torino.

  • Nice. Love this song

  • BLOCK ROCKING BEATS!!!!!!!!!

  • I AM 42 AND BOUGHT THIS THE DAY IT CAME OUT ......NOW AFTER 30 YEARS U CAN HEAR IT ON A COMERCIAL .................THATS LAME ...THEY HAVE DNE THIS TO THE SHERELLES THE BUZZCOCKS THE POUGES ECT ECT IT PISSES US OF THE ONE WHO DO KNOW THESE SONGS

  • yes can i get religion with you? do you have a xenu? no? doesn't matter, what religion do you do? i love you, you're the B52s , love,love,love.....!!!!

  • B52s rule.

  • rip ricky omg such awesome rhythm - lots of love !!!!!!!!

  • @bolmsp Agreed. He had an odd way of tuning his guitar as well. Not sure what it was, but it worked.

  • @xraycortina ikr :)

  • @xraycortina I really like the rhythms this group gets in their songs the way everyone works together. Ricky's guitars were definitely an integral part in this too. I think he also added a lot to the band in terms of writing.

  • @sdgakatbk Ricky Wilson passed away. Phil Collins didn't. There really is no justice eh.

  • Comment removed

  • The Cold War had //all// the good bands.

Now look what we're stuck with...

  • Raw,Basic, garagey sounding track....BRILLIANT!

  • @wanturbadromancexx yes, a brilliant song. 2 girl harmony, but not tweety over throaty shreeking we get in the 21 century.

Grungy. Exotic. Dare I say, feminine?

  • @wanturbadromancexx And a little preppy too.

  • Effie, Madge and Mabel and Biddie

    See them on the beach

    Or in New York City

Tina, Louise and Hazel and Mavis

Can you name, name, name, name them today

Wanda and Janet and Ronnie and Reba-o-o-o

These are the girls of the USA

The principal girls of the USA

  • The girls of the USA kick ass!!

  • @mnsnake ...not any more, and not for a long time.

    Great band, tho...

  • @centurion180ad That's not prejudice at all /sarcasm...

  • I fooking love the B52's. I seen them support Annie Lennox's first major band, The Tourists, in the UK many moons ago. lol

  • I think that shortly before his death, John Lennon praised the B-52's first album.

  • @lyonslaforet He also praised Yoko Ono ans she just plain sucks..lol

  • @lyonslaforet Just confirms what I always knew about Lennon, that he was the coolest Beatle.

  • @lyonslaforet should have,if he didn't.

  • @lyonslaforet I think it was in his last ever interview. The interviewer asked him if he liked any of the new bands coming out and he said "the B52's".

  • Who does the best harmonies, the girls from the B52s (Kate and Cindy) or the girls from Abba (Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad)?

  • @PlaneSpotterHeaven I think Cindy & Kate, but it's all down to personal taste. Abba did lots of layering in their vocal recordings, which may have enhanced things.

  • Who does the best harmonies, the girls from the B52s or the girls from Abba?

  • Probably my favorite B-52's song. It's so fun
