A rarity-a not too important mid-career tune, not too full-blooded, usually they were on fire with everything from 1977 onwards, but still good naturally and you've presented the song well, especially as it was passed over for inclusion on the deluxe version of 'Voulez-Vous' released belatedly a year ago. Accompanied with nice images, also well-put together, just as rare. Abba into the Hall of Fame for 2010? DISGUSTING & totally WRONG!-they should have been in there since 2005 at least!!
It's a great track. Just remove the 'Opus 10' info: we now know ABBA never intended to name their next album 'Opus 10': Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus both state loudly that this was a 'title' a journalist came up with during a 1982 interview, and would never be a title ABBA would come up with. Fans have used this title on bootlegs ever since the first obscure tapes surfaced 30 years ago, but it is wrong. Check 'Bright Lights Dark Shadows' as one of many sources for this now :)
@jazzbobrown Thanks, but I think I'll leave it in! And just by looking at your page and all the other videos you commented on in the same way, it appears that you're just another spammer.....you'll be blocked!

This song was actually intended to be on the "Thank you for the music" box set in 1994 as a full unreleased track, but when Bjorn, Benny and Michael Tretow tried to mix it, apparently they concluded that it wasn't complete enough to be presented as a full track, so it was only a snippet that they used in "ABBA Undeleted".
Great tune! Seems to be influenced by Benny's Beach Boys. If B & B "rocked it out" a little bit more and released it, we Americans would've eaten it up. Then they would have had to spend more than two weeks touring here, right? :-(
I just wanted to say what a treat it has been to discover this song and listen to your expanded version of it. It is really well-done and I hope you'll keep it on YouTube for a long time. It is, afterall, a unique mix, thanks your creative efforts. Thanks so much for the effort to bring this forgotten treasure to life and to remind us all of just how B & B have let their incredible talent lay dormant for 30 years. Let's get Frida and Agnetha to finish up this gem. Ivy Smith (USA)
and you say it was from opus 10 which would have been there last album in 82 im sure it would have been included on the album -voulez vous-super trouper-the visters if recorded 78
Dear Jim, I am so thankful to you for sharing all of your video's of Abba especialy with others that are addicted to this wonderful sound called ABBA.
Thank you M for taking the time to stop by and hopefully enjoying my videos. This has been a 2 and a half year labor of love. ABBA is one of the bands nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 2010....lets keep all of our fingers crossed!
Another great job Jim, and I echo those who champion your efforts{ bring ABBA home to the RRHOF }. I do feel this is one of the sharpest selections from the "undeleted". Your friend, Christian
You mean 'Slowly' wasn't included?-it turns up on Frida's album but should have been a duet too. Wow-where'd you get this info and is 'When The Waves' and ;Every Good Man' available anywhere at all? 'Another You, Another Me' was given to Gemini as was 'Slowly' so that's ok I guess. If only they'd cracked on with it-they'd only have 3 more songs to record! Stuff another greatest hits! Makes me so mad! People who are crap like Madonna and Cliff Richard and Bee Gees, Mariah Carey etc. go on 4eva!
@2038165479 That's a nicely tuned list, but it omits 'Over You'-wikipedia states that 'Over You' was to be the 1982 album's name, whilst obviously being a song itself. I'm hoping it's true but if it is, that gives us a hell of a prob-namely there's no 'Over You' by Abba on youtube AT ALL-worse, there's not even a snippet of it for Abba Undeleted on the '94 box set. Also 'Too Much Love Is Wasted' was apparently for LP 9, but that & 'Another You/Me' went to Gemini's album instead.
I agree Jim. I was exposed to this and a few others when I purchased the boxed set you may have been referencing to earlier. It was on a 4th disc that had several different language versions of hits as well as live studio out takes. I was especially taken by the medley of on top of old smokey/midnight special. And one song I thought would have been a hot hit was, You Owe Me One. Thanks for being such a benefit of information in my ABBAphilic quest for knowledge. Sincerely, Christian
Thank you. The song still sounds so fresh after all these years. I think this is when I started using pictures that were from the same year as the song's release. It just adds a little something extra to the video.
They were writing alot before they broke up and it was going to be called opus 10 indeed but never was complete.Great song this one!.good selection jim:)
I love this song, however there is no album called Opus 10. There was a reporter who said ABBA were hard at work on Opus 10 (10th album, which it really wasn't unless you twist the numbers in your favor), but they never gave it a name. It's untitled to this day. Lots of people call it Opus 10 affectionately, and if you're one of those people, sorry. Consider it for those who didn't know, in that case. :D
I do know that there was never a album "Opus 10", but this is the full name of the song. The album's name was actually "Just Like That CD's (Mixs). I knew that about "Opus 10", but mistakenly typed that into the info box. Actually they had six unreleased songs recorded for what would have been their 9th (I believe) studio album. That idea was abandoned and they released the "Best Of The Singles" compilation album instead. Thanks for catching that though, I'll be sure to correct it.
Nice tune, Jim! Your video are very well done! Pics were carefully selected and I love the beginning! The slow rhythm on the pics is very well suited here! Thanks a lot for the inormation to the side! Congratulations, my friend!
Thank you DJ. I forgot that I had this song and when I found it I just had to make a video for it. I try to put as much information up that I can about the song.
I like the retro feel of it. Reminds me of late 50's or early 60's. Very nice harmony. This one was definitely good enough to release if they could have finished it.
Thanks for the info Mike. I was up kinda late trying to get this to upload so I couldn't look for as much information as I normally do. I really believe that this song would have been big had they released it.
Sorry to have taken so long to reply Shay...problems, it's always problems! I am really starting to like this (A Lot!) This one should have been released, it could have been big.
This is new for me. How many other great songs have I not heard and then we have have to hear them in Swedish, German and Spanish. WOW it is not easy being so popular as ABBA are and will always be.
Thanks for the posting great pics and the sing is great.
This is from their album "Opus 10", and was one of their unreleased songs. I think it's a great song and could have went far for them. Sometimes the best is always saves for last!
i think you did an excellent on the clip Jim, another Abba song i have missed out..your work is so professional.and the clips you choose go hand in hand together...well done ...be proud....
Thank you Christine. YouTube has me so frustrated and It's nice to see great comments. It has a way of calming me down. I don't like there unannounced changes like Auto-play, It took away my background and it hasn't come back. I can see everyone else's, but not mine!
My background disappeared, and my featured video played by itself, too. That started sometime yesterday. I had to put a new background up! I thought it just happened to me.
I can see your great picture of Keith's statue. When the auto-play started, it killed the backgrounds. All seems normal now..In the immortal words of Alfred E. Neuman.."What..me worry"!
Nice tune to wake up to Jim! Hadn't heard this one before either, but I sure like it a lot! Another nice job on your slide show, also with some rare pictures of the fab four! You do your homework and it shows my friend!
Thanks Dallas. Gonna be a favorite of mine real soon. YouTube Is really bugging me lately. The auto-starting videos (your feature vid on your site)has taken away all (I think all) background pictures. Mine has been gone and hasn't come back yet! This vid also took 2 hours to post and I wasn't able to post a bulletin until an hour ago. I don't know about you, but I could do without the auto-play!
Jim-I am sorry to hear about your YT problem and have the same thing here in the UK today-my channel icon had changed,my background picture 'unavailable' and the autoplay is enabled!!!
I just simply love it! :D

ABBA actually had 9 singles for their 9th album which were
You Owe Me One
Just Like That
I Am The City
The Day Before You Came
Cassandra
Under Attack
When The Waves Roll Out To Sea
Every Good Man
Another You, Another Me
2038165479 2 years ago 3

" The Best Of The Singles " album.
