  • Nosey little fuckers aint ya?

  • how do you get there?

  • @carlson197 entrance is on clermiston road north though, you can see the path is you look on google maps. however it's all bricked up and you can't get inside the actual building.I went in it when i was14 with a few of my mates and our construction masks on luckily, and i have to say its quite scary as this video shows. the massive tunnel running down to the bunker deep under the ground makes it cold, the darkness and quietness quite eerie. would definatly explore again if i had the chance!

  • @PardonMonFrancais yeah, been in it.

  • @PardonMonFrancais it is really easy to get into the bunker. there are about 5 different entrances just to get into the site

  • @carlson197 the site is easy to get in it but getting actually inside the bunker is hard, last time i went anyway?

  • @PardonMonFrancais no its easy to get into the bunker.

  • @carlson197 a 21 bus is the best shout really, bus stop not far from the path, theres a large chain link fence going round the area of it but if you follow the fence into the woodland you eventually find a hole in the fence, find it on google maps first but or it could be impossible to find

  • do you really think the masks you were wearing are gonna help protect you i dont think so

  • PLEASE DO A POST AGAIN IN 30 YRS,SO WE KNOW IF YOUR STILL ON THIS PLANET AND BREATHING....BEST OF LUCK

  • asbestos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!dont know why local councils dont flood these places with concrete and seal them up forever, they are real a danger, only a small amount of fiber can give you lung problem in years to come,STAY AWAY!!!

I USED TO WORK IN ASBESTOS REMOVEL,WE DRESSED LIKE SPACEMEN AND SHOWERED DOWN EVERYTIME WE WENT INTO AN AREA....BEWARE!!!

  • @battlestarone this is edinburgh clowncil we're talking about here! and also it's owned by some property developer who was going to do something with it until it caught fire

  • Those places are full of white & blue asbestos. H&S recomend full anti contaminant suit & bottled air. The dust mask you had wont do a thing to help. your clothes will be full of the stuff. most of these shelters have been decommed because of asbestos not just end of cold war. get a surplus british NBC respirator, a desposable shower cap to put under an old BB cap & old clothes you can throw away afterwards. I worked in asbestos area & was exposed once & iv'e got alot of plaque in my lungs

  • @FreeNBK2000

Obviously scaremongering... if not disturbed FFP3 masks are fine. When removing asbestos, yes you need higher grade equipment. stroll on my friend...you need to learn a bit more before trying to scare explorers

  • @TheSquashedfrogg I don't want to stop people exploring. I feel the cold war and its once secret structures should be saved and not forgotten.

My point is, asbestos fibre, when burnt, breaks into smaller particles. So in a confined space with little ventilation the particle density can get very high

Also transfer of asbestos from hair and cloths is the most common way to transfer it back to your home.

If you think I'm scaremongering or just making it up, ignore me. Eat asbestos if you like.

  • Did someone have one of those flip video camera things? coz i've got one, and when you turn it off it does this jingle noise, and i swear i heard it in the vid!!! amazing vid too! x

  • how many people do you take with you when you go exploring? it seems like you have a total of 2-3 people in your party.

  • When you climb over the gate to enter the bunker there is a big yellow crater. Does anyone no what is inside the crater ? or what it is there for ????

  • been there, but was wary of going in, place is full of asbestos apparently

  • How'd the truck get there?

  • was there yesterday. Cant get in anymore it has been sealed up.

  • Good to see some footage online, I work for the company that owns it and know the owner well. Although masking is def recommended I don't think the air there will kill you, we never wore any when we were there. I recommend you all stay out of it though, its not safe at all and we take rope with us in case there's a problem

  • What is going to be done with it? I only recently walked past it and it really is a state, didn't go inside the buildings.

  • That place looks ruthless!

  • Yeah i know im not planing of going in just wondering if theres anyother entraces i hang about there quite alot

:L but if you did breath the asbestos ow long would it take to kill you ??

  • depends on the level of your exposure google aspestosis.

  • ???

  • I thought the people that lite the bombey on fire stole the truck and ramed it in there:S:L

There is only one way in there now that i know off and that is in one of the ground rooms is there any other ways in and i know there is one way in from the boiler room

  • please remember that there is alot of asbestos dust in there and to wear proper masking etc if you value your life!

  • Yeah i know im not planing of going in just wondering if theres anyother entraces i hang about there quite alot

:L but if you did breath the asbestos ow long would it take to kill you ?? and do you know any other entraces

  • at 3:20 that resembles a v engine cylinder block perhaps 2 stroke diesel

  • good video tho, been up here many times in youth.better wen the 2 towers wer on the cliff and u could climb them

  • the masks here are useless, asbestos would be in the hair and on all clothing

  • The sloping tunnel you walked up is the entrance from the car park at the top of the hill. There used to be a big blast door at the end of the tunnel before you entered the shelter itself. On the roof outside there used to be a metal staircase that took you up onto the cliffs above until they cut it away, which pretty much ruined our best escape route when getting chased!

  • I've been in there many a time during the early 90's. You entered through the back door. When I used to go in there they still had paperwork in filing cabinets and all the phones in place.

there also used to be a lift of sorts between the floors. Was a good place to skive of scholl in.

  • Does anyone know of any good bunkers to urbex in in Ohio?

  • good choice of wearing mask ... lots of asbestos

  • That is some serious urbexing. The girl in the video had an M3 organic vapour mask, good idea. The paper masks the other guys had on though??????????

  • That was me and my mate battering the door+I know where there is a hidden silo door about 30 feet tall.reply and i could show you it one day

  • Great Vid. Me and my brother have been a few times last November but the last time we got a few frights.

First one was at the bottom of the big staircase where there was a big pile of broken wood and stuff which wasn't there a week earlier. We honestly thought someone was going to attempt to start another fire.

Second, once we got to the top floor there was an almighty bang followed by another few. It turned out to be kids battering the doors with a telegraph pole.

  • that was me and my mate battering the door.I got a video of it on my phone

  • TeEnZIE

    Extremly important

If you have been in that bunker before without a protective mask your life may be at risk due to asbestos poisoning!

Please reply to this message ASAP

  • You should message her !!!

  • It was built in 1950s and i know because i live on this hill and i always know the entrance to the silos

  • Aw sorry!! I thought you were the guy in the motor!!! I never got in the shelter. Was not sure the entrance. Either near the gritting depot, or the old quarry site?

    That was a scarey place.

  • I live in the area. Never knew the exact entrance to it though? I thought it was at the bottom where the gritting motors are? fence surounding it.? Used to hang around there as kids. Pretty scarey as well up they woods at night, they birds in your film are brave!! Wouldn't be me!! I remember when we were about 15 and jumping about on a Friday night, late on, a guy walked along the path of the woods dressed as a monk. Still shite myself of the thought!!!

    Great vid, was well engrosed.

  • omg lol is that the one in the woods at Clermiston? if it is i have been there!!! but the lights dont work anymore but they used to :P, its scary though cause its totally pitch black and theres holes in the ground. When i was younger i went all the time with my friends and we had to climbover a fence to get in :P

  • Nice job, no fear, been down there 3 times myself. You entered via the rear/lower door, correct?

The mask was a good idea as after the fire the place was sealed off due to asbestos fibres!

    (though we never wore any)

Entering from above has a smart touch, as when you get down through the cargo-tunnel thing and enter the 1st big room(with floor missing) the 1st thing staring back across the hole in the floor at you are the crudely spray-painted words "Live or Die?".

  • Did any of those showers or stuff still work?

  • yeah I had a shower will I was there :P

  • HA HA lol

  • For a first attempt this is great. Thanks for sharing & keep up the good work :)

  • i really enjoyed this :)

  • Nice one!

  • teenzie when did u do dis cause i would ave liked to come

  • am awfy gled i didnae come, judgin by the holes on the floor lol

    great video doll xx
