Why does everyone hate turtle beaches so much? I have PX5's and the sound quality is amazing. Sure you have the added bonus of hearing people you can't see but that's why you have Ninja and Dead Silence. People are just jealous because they can't afford a good headset. If they had an option between TV sound and a headset we all know what they would choose.

@realogre32 you can hear people walking around from a very far distance. it just depends how quiet it is and what there walking on. and btw you can just turn your tv up to hear footsteps better. headsets dont make footsteps louder, they make everything else louder also.

I'm sorry, but in Real Life, i hear my girlfriend, if she walks through the house. Thats normal, and in Real Life you hear a Weapon, even with silencer. "Sound Whoring" is one of the few things that makes the game realistic

How about 3000dpi mices, macro keyboards, competitive controllers such as Razer Onza ? Everyone is using all this and headsets LANs, so you're saying every LAN competitive player is a cheater ? If you really were good players, you would not play without headset.
@wunderofwaffles Ninja in MW2 makes you 95%silent,sitrep pro will be able to hear ninja users only a lil bit but its not enough to actually sound whore a ninja user in MW2 with sit rep pro but the ability is there.Dead silence in MW3 makes you 100% silent even against a sitrep pro users IW really needs to patch it.Ninja pro in Blops makes you 100% silent even against ninja users.The only Cod's were you can hear dead silence considerably is CoD4 and W@W.There are simple counters to soundwhoring.

I listen for footsteps all the time but it doesn't mean that I bought a turtle beach. It's just a good idea to listen for footsteps in case your defending a bomb and you hear the person's footsteps in the room that's right before the bomb. Not just useful for camping but you get what I mean. Same thing with Halo: Reach. If someone has sprint and you are listening, you can probably catch them before they get an assassination on you.

I don't understand why my own footsteps sound like I am stepping on a screaming child, but if there's someone shuffling and sniffing my back, I can't hear a thing. And then there's the reloading sounds, that can sometimes (not all the time) be heard from a mile away as if someone threw their weapon at the wall. TreyArc in general, doesn't make sense.

@wunderofwaffles Ninja in MW2 makes you 95%silent,sitrep pro will be able to hear ninja users only a lil bit but its not enough to actually sound whore a ninja user in MW2 with sit rep pro but the ability is there.Dead silence in MW3 makes you 100% silent even against a sitrep pro users IW really needs to patch it.Ninja pro in Blops makes you 100% silent even against ninja users.The only Cod's were you can hear dead silence considerably is CoD4 and W@W.There are simple counters to soundwhoring.

I listen for footsteps all the time but it doesn't mean that I bought a turtle beach. It's just a good idea to listen for footsteps in case your defending a bomb and you hear the person's footsteps in the room that's right before the bomb. Not just useful for camping but you get what I mean. Same thing with Halo: Reach. If someone has sprint and you are listening, you can probably catch them before they get an assassination on you.

Listening for an enemy's footsteps is realistic.. And you should have gone with MW2 for this one. Black Ops has the worst footsteps of all CODs.

@Iamoldenough92 I'v had people with Marathon Pro run by me in DEAD SILENCE with no gunshots or anything in a 1V1 matchup while I had ninja pro and I didn't hear it without plugging a headset in. >_>. And I have good hearing.

@T16Akatsuki Lol I know right. But the footsteps were the worse in my case. I don't understand why my own footsteps sound like I am stepping on a screaming child, but if there's someone shuffling and sniffing my back, I can't hear a thing. And then there's the reloading sounds, that can sometimes (not all the time) be heard from a mile away as if someone threw their weapon at the wall. TreyArc in general, doesn't make sense.
