this case SUCKS! the paint faded and scratched and looks overlal like crap after just a couple of months of use. It looked great when i bought it but the quality is TERRIBLE!! and i was just carrying it in my pocket, i can understand some scratches but the paint faded and it even painted the inside of my pockets blue

@svtang03 I've been using this case for about 3 months and I haven't noticed any problems with paint fading, it looks the same as when I bought it and as for discolouring your pocket, you must have had something wet in it, dry paint flakes, that would not cause it to paint your pocket.

I would not get this case. I have an iphone 3gs and I have tried 2 of these cases and neither fit my phone right. There is always a little bit of a gap on one of the two ends. It isn't worth it.

i got this for around $25 in july.. came with a nice warranty.. and i NEEDED it!..

first one fell apart.. all the connectors holding the two pieces together broke easily

now this replacement one is completely falling to pieces now. the bottom just broke apart today. the connectors holding both pieces together break within a couple weeks of you getting it.. happened to me twice.

however.. ive dropped my iphone very hard many times and this case saved it.

BUT. since the connectors came off holding the pieces together firmly, it seemed to damage the sides of my phone when i dropped it since it wasnt completely secure. so now where the bottom part of the case hooked on its all damaged..

not that big of a deal but i wouldnt recommend this case unless you pay under $15

Sliding the bottom off repeatedly tends to break the little tabs and will eventually break the little "ring" thing on the back of the case. Overall not a very durable case, but it does protect the phone.

I have this case an overall really like it. Its feels great and offers nice protection. Mine has taken many floor bounces and the iPhone is just like now and the case is really blemish free. Had to write about this case since this just happened to me! Bought my first iPhone last April & had a regular silicone case which started to stretch out so bought this case. I'm so sorry that I switched since last Sat the phone slipped out of my hand and landed face up on tile floor. The screen shattered! I took it to at&t & they mentioned that it could have been from the button on the back since it wasn't level when it landed. Sure enough, the crack is right above the button. So mad!!!

These cases are garbage. Me and my brother bought our iphone 3GSs at the same time. He bought this and a screen protector and i bought an otterbox defender. His broke within the week the first time he dropped it on our hardwood floor. My otterbox case is still in perfect condition and actually protects my phone even after i dropped it face down on the asphalt. DO NOT BUY THIS CASE

I prefer the case to not cover so much of the front because it makes it easier to type. Cases that cover up to the edge of the screen making typing those corner letters very difficult and frustrating.

I have had this case for exactly 7 days and two small pieces have broken off the black section towards the front of the case. Right infront of the small black clips on the side that connect up under the color part. The inside of the case is slightly beveled in that area. As of today both sides broke off at that slight inside bevel area in the exact same shape on both sides. I did love the look and feel of this case, but do not think I will buy one again.

your not the brightest.. the iphone 3g isn't more delicate than the first one, you think it is because its plastic.. but that plastic has shock absorbency properties that mean if for instance its dropped it disperses the force so the internal electronics arnt damaged, with the aluminum it goes straight through and risks damaging the workings inside.

I got myself an Krussel Orbit (black with red full leather) which protects it, and the side of the screen is really robust, i think some sort of hard plastic is in there. I aint scared to walk up to a ledge of a table or something, and it' s easy to take out, but won't fall out if you dont apply LITTLE pressure. Really handy. Also the back can slide off (from the orbit) zo you can put it in the dock (if u have one).

I strongly recommend krussel, I also has Krussel with my HTC's and always good.

i have the same case for my 3g. one positive note that was not addressed during the review is how well the finish is. it has a very nice rubber grip to it. almost a velvety feel to it, yet pretty thin not adding too much bulk. and for the price of $20 its a very nice product compared to others that go for $30.

the extra large cutout spaces are for people with sausage fingers who can't quite press the side buttons with smaller cut outs. I do agree that those cut outs should be smaller and the edges around the cut outs should be beveled wider to for people with sausage fingers can actually press those buttons with ease.
