Maybe it is me, but I think mankind would be better of if the world suddenly went into the middle ages. Though true, technology can be used to better mankind and for purposes of good, it seems that the media is used primarily for the purpose of evil and now a days, you can't get on the internet without seeing something sinful!
@jvaz003 I have to disagree, although i see where you're coming from. Fr. Kentenich touches on this in the prefounding document of Schoenstatt.
"The powerful discord, this immeasurable cleft, is becoming ever greater and wider - and that's how we will stand before the specter of social justice, before societal bankruptcy, unless a change is initiated with all our strength very soon.
@l33t0n3 Instead of becoming masters of our achievements, we are becoming their slaves; we are becoming slaves, too, of our own passions. Either - or! Either forwards or backwards! Well then, backwards!
So, let us return to the Middle Ages, tear up the railroad tracks, cut the telegraph lines, leave the electricity to the clouds, return the coal to the earth, and close the universities!
No, never. We do not want that, we may not and we cannot do that. Therefore, forwards!
@l33t0n3 >>Close the universities>> Universities actually existed long before all the wires and so forth. Although I do agree with your statement, I still stand by it to some extent. I, for one, wish to abandon the use of technology because I always am wasting time on it. How much have we a society have wasted time just using something that is to benefit us. Not only that, but we are becoming slaves to our technology, and we have become more stupid as well. At the end, who knows, maybe we will
@l33t0n3 loose it all through the wrath of God. It seems as though, through the Marian apparition, we will be in a great catastrophe that perhaps will bring us back maybe back a few decades.
