It took 6 months for the Germansert to reach the outskirts of Moscow, it took 4 years fot the Soviets to reach Berlin.

@dave19941000 Agree. If Germany had only England and Russia to fight, Hitler would have conquered Europe. With the US that did have an impact, but if Russia woujldn't have been in the war, Germany wouls have cleaned house with the US and Britain. Yet give the Brits more credit than they get. They did hold off the Nazis from landing shore..

If Hitler had allowed von Paulus to w/draw his army from Stalingrad, the Soviets could not have defeated the surviving German army. A stalemate in the East would have been achieved. Even as it was, w/ the bulk of the German force either annihilated or captured. They mounted a stubborn resistance. Stalin was just lucky to have an enemy stupider & crazier then himself.
