  • who's the a-hole who hit dislike?

  • JOHN WAS THE ULTIMATE CAPITALIST

He understood what it takes for people to be free from oppressors

and it is the governments that want to oppress

and then those that ask for that "contribution" for those with the minds that hate, are exposed

    occupy this !!!!

  • Know your history: JL: Ah, sure, ‘Revolution’ .There were two versions of that song but the underground left only picked up on the one that said ‘count me out’. The original version which ends up on the LP said ‘count me in’ too; I put in both because I wasn’t sure. There was a third version that was just abstract, musique concrete, kind of loops and that, people screaming.

  • @tsquire87 I thought I was painting in sound a picture of revolution – but I made a mistake, you know. The mistake was that it was anti-revolution.

Look up his interview with Tariq Ali in 1971 which ran in the red mole

  • How much money did John give the poor???? I loved Lennon, but let's get real.

  • @shoshanna53 : giving money isnt a solution...it shud be remove frm roots...only a REVOLUTION cn remove it..and JOHN worked his ASS off starting the revolution....

  • "But when you talk about destruction, don't you know you can COUNT ME OUT"... yeah, take that Che Guevara socialists!

It's about PEACE AND LIBERTY. Ron Paul 2012.

  • Great Man, Great Music... :)

  • Awesome. Such a good voice x

  • @HardRockLover hahaha

I am NOT one of them, I wasn't even brought up with religion. I love religion but not the wars it causes and people who shove their religion down your throat. But I still find religion fascinating and I mean no offense to anyone who may be very religious who reads this. And yes I was just kidding but It's all good =)

  • He was a great songwriter, very intelligent, very funny, but unfortunately did quite a few dumb things.

  • @HardRockLover I don't remember what commented at all...

And you don't know me. I'm a hardcore Lennon fan for sure. I've read everything written about him watched all the movies the Beatles made and know the lyrics to all of his songs. I love Lennon and what he stood for.

And fyi I am Atheist. Got the bumper sticker and everything =p

  • the revelution is coming

the revolution is going to between the haves and the havenots

  • the revelution is coming

    the revolution is coming

  • dear sir Jhon......, YOUR SONG.....was the most wanted in my complicated country

  • Working class hero.R.I.P.

  • @hawkeyeislogical6 what makes you say he isn't one? Jesus was "god" and he was a human being.. and john wanted peace as jesus did =)

    He was god. =)

  • @savy664 What are you talking about ?, John Lennon was non-religious. He did not believe in a higher power nor some old' and very illogical fairytales.

If you were smarter and a subscriber to logic thinking you would also become an atheist. Please dont spit ignorance.

  • @HardRockLover Oh i looked bac at my comment.... how did you take that seriously man? I just said John wanted peace and the rest was a joke.

Sorry to get you all pissed about something so simple =)

  • @savy664 Well i met alot of ignorant Religious people, and i thought you were one of them. If you were joking and did not mean what you said, i'll have to apologize.

  • I'm glad they went with the rock version.

  • When Buddhists pray, who or what do they pray - TO?

Give me an example of the "genocidal God of the Bible."

What is so attractive about Socialism? Is Cuban life attractive?

Why do Cubans risk their lives to LEAVE Cuba?

How about formerly East Berlin - WONDERFUL? Again, why did its people FLEE?

  • best version ever

  • The genocidal god of The Bible gets to live forever, beyond space and time, but John Lennon only gets to be 40?

  • The would-be solo segment is amazing.

  • THE GREATEST BEATLE EVER....!

  • This sounds like someone pretending to be John, rather than being John. Can anyone present recording place/date details for this one?

  • This sounds like someone pretending to be John, rather than being John. Can anyone present recording place/date details for this one?

  • @SysadminsWithGuns IKt's from many of the demos the Beatles did at George Harrison's house in Eshger in May 1968. Several of the demos appeared on Anthology 3. It's not a fake. This is for sure John's voice.

  • Sounds too peppy to be real.

  • This version reminds me of Lennon's "Only People" from the Mind Games album

  • I'll hate the first disliker. This song deserve its rating

  • Lennon , if you were a god, I'd worship you.

  • @hawkeyeislogical6 u can ...budda wasnt a god he said so himself and people worship him

  • 0 dislikes ! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!

  • wouldnt mind this being the original recording

  • Given the psuedo political banter below that most people do not have the imagination to see what John meant about Revolution. Where is our next John Lennon to help sort these fools out?

  • @angiepippi There was only one John Lennon bro.

  • @Chefodeath I know that there was only one John Lennon but isn't this song the battle cry for all to live John's version of "Peace"? I am just asking that we take a look at ourselves and ask if we can cry out just as loud.

  • john lennon... your music will live on

  • Remains of joyless bunker

  • i love you john

  • @Lekecity Don't leave comments on my page you imperialist Belgian para-trooper supporting dog. You might have got away with it in the Congo but those days are gone. You can do nothing for me? Who the fuck asked you to do anything for me?

    Viva Lamumba

  • @Lekecity Who the fuck are you to tell me what John Lennon was? He was strongly and quite clearly a socialist you fucking moron. Stop trying to hijack Lennon just because there has never been a Belgian with the balls to stand up for anything that matters. You weird bastard

  • Where did you get this??! Its Epicly AwesomeNess!

  • I heard this in a better qualty but thank you for posting this m8

  • nice!

  • I think I have a better quality track if this on my mp3 player when I just searched classic rock on mp3rocket, it said revolution acoustic, when I played it I heard alright take 2 at the beginning, it sounded almost exactly like this only with better sound quality. So how did you get this audio file?

  • This is why I love Youtube!!

  • this is john celebrating his 30th or 31st birthday jammin

  • RIP John Lennon! Peace and Love!

  • there is 3 different versions of this song. 1, 2, and 9

  • pretty damn good, i actually like it better than the original.Peace And Love

  • I think that John was such a great songwriter because he didnt let anybody tell him what a song should sound like. He did what he felt inside the song should sound like. I admire him very much for that. Of course then he had Paul, George, Ringo, Geoff, and George to help him get it to release condition.

  • So cool i have never heard this before let alone knowing it even existed Great. Thanks for posting

  • very interesting, even better to be heared, acoustic version, thanks a lot for have shared ,great !!!

  • This is always what I thought this song should have sounded like. Instead of the over produced "empty" sounding version that is the most famous.

  • So many people's lives take the opposite pattern to Johns. I mean, plenty people start off with socialist ideals, then they eventually compromise on them as they become more and more successful in life. But to go from super-stardom with The Beattles, to totally embracing the ideals of socialism is something a bit special. We miss you. Rest in Peace, Bro

  • @undercoverbrother67 you I rememeber when he was embracing socialism by buying up half of the dakota bld.. Lennon was a great songwriter, stop with the other bullshit.

He was an idiot with WAY too much time on his hands.

  • @undercoverbrother67 He wasn't a socialist. He was a humanist! He believed in peace, not government or politics. You don't know John if you are going to place a label on him.

  • @SunnyLovetts Well judging from that statement I can already tell that you are American. An American who is a decent person and respects someone with the values of John Lennon, but because of where you come from you have been conditioned and brainwashed into believing that socialism is a dirty word... so you deny his obvious socialist stance. Socialism is the answer and John Lennon knew it... your insular American society can't accept socialism but don't deny it in others

  • @undercoverbrother67 I'm with you,Sunny.Socialisms the word.

  • CKALOR is the best in youtube

  • @La2VenidaDeBrian That makes no sense whatsoever

  • @undercoverbrother67 I'd like to be a Lennonist but I can't afford it yet.

  • @undercoverbrother67 Right on, brother.

  • @undercoverbrother67 I don't think John is espousing socialist ideals in this song, but people can and will read what they want to into what they want to. All John is saying here is if you want to change things, 1) start with yourself, 2) don't include him if you plan to use violence 3) do you have a plan??? 4) what do you plan to replace it with (or are you just tearing it down?) His political beliefs were an amalgam, as most thinking peoples are...

  • "How long shall they kill our prophets... while we stand aside and look?" Marley

  • John Lennon... friend of the worldwide struggle!

    We miss you, John.

    Fuck Mark Chapman!

  • whered you get this version, id do anything for it!!!

  • Thanks man who ever uploaded this! Great stuff

  • beautiful, but why double up on it, the track repeats halfway through.

  • @lennonrevolver why not

  • what does the commentator say at the beginning

  • Love this song... :)

  • Awesome! I have never heard this version!

  • The middle instramental indication section verse of the "da dah dahs" harmonies sounds like da Beach Boys.

  • missing a whole verse

You say you'll change the constitution

    Well, you know

We all want to change your head

You tell me it's the institution

    Well, you know

You'd better free your mind instead

But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao

You ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow

sounds like someone edited it out at 2:55 with the wierd echo

  • best when heard for a few seconds before as from 2:50

  • john actually regreted writing the part about chairman mao maybe thats why?

  • TOO COOL!

Where is this form? Is it on some CD?

  • :) this makes me happy.

  • Love this song :)

  • I heared about this demo of Revolution that it was recorded in George Harrison's house. I love this acoustic version!

  • I rememeber this on bootleg...cool shit

  • wat u mean??

  • who? john lennon!? john lennon is the greatest singer who ever lived and for your information he is dead. he was murdered by mark david chapman in 1980.

  • dont mention that name, you feed his desires by doing that.

  • @TheThroney

    Lord Voldemort?

Am I the only one who get's him mixed up with Lord Vertigern?

  • @ysbaddaden2003 hi:)

  • spoken like a true ass clow

  • i was just thinking that of you:)
